So how many of you will do the pledge of allegiance?
Im still deciding.
2 words come to mind though this is such a family friendly forum, that statement in itself is laughable, I shall have to be creative with 2 different words.

The coronation is not on the bank holiday. It’s on the Saturday, BH is the Monday.I'll be watching it on the TV (first TV broadcast I'll have watched since the Queen's funeral) but I won't be putting bunting out. I'll probably go out for a few drinks afterwards as it's a Bank Holiday, not like that matters when you're a gentleman of leisure anyway.

I probably will, although I would have been less undecided had it not been Charles, who to me is less than an ideal monarch in many ways.

But I thought you liked strong German men bossing you around Chris?
It doesn’t matter if you pledge allegiance or not, the fact is if your king orders you to do something, you have no choice.

Well, although King Charles III is not really a pure German, he is of close German descent. Both his parents were great-great grandchildren of Queen Victoria, whose dynasty was the House of Hanover before she married into the equally German House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
I will have to forego the "strong" bit, and accept he talks to plants and embraces multicultarlism, we can't have everything, something got lost in the genes down the ages
Fair play for, hmm, playing along (sorry, poor word choice there). Why is "Charles less than an ideal monarch in many ways" in your eyes?
This isn't a trick question, I'm actually interested.

You played a straight bat so I will too. Lots that I disagree with there but good on you for expressing it.Marries a Catholic divorcee, alters historic traditions of the coronation service to be more "inclusive" against good advice, he's a wet, and a rather humourless fellow and he wants to modernise and reduce the Royal family. "Modernisation" of centuries old tradition and laws rarely works out well in my opinion.
Rather macabrely his damage might be limited by his age, although his progeny don't inspire much confidence. Should I have perhaps said "alleged progeny" as a sop to the CT'ers?
