not convinced leave/remain preference is political or, should now be re-categorised as a religious/ethnic belief and added to race relations act.

Coronation chicken sandwiches available in the Tesco meal deal today, first time I've had any with or with bread in years... Quite tasty! :)

These days it seems increasingly common to read a short letter, statement or online post by someone and be able to marvel at just how many different things they managed to completly beclown themselves about.... a few days back it was Dianne Abbott managing to imply that millennia of systemic discrimination, across many nations, pogroms and an organised, industrialised genocide, within living memory for a few, which targeted a particular ethnic group regardless of religious observation wasn't racism whilst simultaneously showing her comical lack of knowledge about who was doing a lot of the rowing, whilst shackled, on thr North African Barbary pirate ships.....

Today I saw this gem from Tatchell....

Which seems to have completly missed that we had a female Monach for the last 70 odd years and the rules are such now that an older female takes priority for the throne over a younger male siblings and thar the surviving monarchies of African nations aren't all that likely to see any non black monarchs any time soon due to the mechanics of how a hereditary monarchy works....

Guess he'll be skipping the bunting and street parties ...

what is the long range weather forecast then ?

Bunting on the village green this AM , the church the clock the steeple , maybe they'll spit roast an ox..

Beijing accused of 'outrageous' provocation with expected attendance of Han Zheng, known for role in pro-democracy protests crackdown
could expect some protests from HK expats, maybe they can seat him next to the S Korean pm, or Tibetan exiles.

I'll watch it, as it is part of British history. But I think the Royals need to take a back seat, like they do in other European countries.

As soon as I heard the date, I booked the weekend and then 8th as extra allowance was given to those colleagues who are scheduled to work that day. As I had a feeling that shops would continue to trade on Coronation Day.

Shops closed for the Queen’s funeral as to allow shop workers to witness a funeral of a monarch. The same theory should be applied to the Coronation. I feel sorry for my colleagues unable to book off at least 6th May. As store is going to be crazy with anti royalists moaning. Wish all customers keep their political, royalist views to themselves. We aren’t interested. Plus shows how ignorant most people are.

My dad, is a few weeks older than Charles and has a few memories of the Queen’s Coronation. He didn’t watch it (no tv) but remembers the party down his road. My mum, a few days older than Anne, remembers nothing.

So anyone under the age of 74 have no memory of the Queen’s coronation.

It has worked out well for me work wise as finish work early on Wednesday as got a minor procedure at hospital in afternoon. Then off 5 days. Plus the manic will probably start big time on Thursday.
