erm no, the money goes to the treasury not the sovereign. It already does go to the public purse. Kindly get your facts right. Even a basic wiki search would show you that

Sources for Charles views? The Treasury currently returns 25% of the Crown Estate income to the Royals after Chancellor George Osborne decided to change the civil list system. There is still the requirement at the beginning of each reign for the monarch to formally sign over this income to the government. As a Prince, Charles, argued for decades for the financial link between the Crown Estate's income and the Royal Family to be re-established. It is his personal view that all such income should go to the Royals.

Not with the current lot (all sides) in parliament still. We need to get some people into power who actually are vaguely competent, wise, have integrity, and genuinely care about serving the collective population not just a small subset of it. How on earth that can ever be achieved idk as it seems to me anyone who fits that bill either gets shoved out or doesn't even try to become an MP to begin with.Glad its over, now the UK groveller cheap pleb thrills are over, perhaps we can start rebuilding our Countrys reputation up again and put these sorry sordid days black in the dust where they belong.
What's the point in designing another system? Genuinely curious, I've not thought about it just a quick question to your post. What would make it better?Ah yes because we're too stupid to design a system that wouldn't have had the PM also be head of state.
Anything to escape this terminal illness we seem to have would be an improvement. What's the point in designing another system? Genuinely curious, I've not thought about it just a quick question to your post. What would make it better?
