No idea what bunting is, Google comes up as a bird but doubt that's what it is. Voted pancake though as everyone loves pancakes.

I dislike all pomp and ceremony. And the monarchy is far from the only culprit. There's tons of nonsense with parliament, too. Mostly dress-up games and parading around like it's 1399. How can it be anything other than faintly ridiculous to keep doing this in the modern era...?

Don't mind Prince-King Chaz, tho. He seems... OK? He likes trees, which I also like.

Dunno but it's an event that the country should really rally behind and celebrate, not Winge about, but, Britain. If it can't be moaned about it's not worthy.

The thing is they are just glorified actors really just playing a part. No more important that the Pearly King and Queen.

Or just the same as Snow White at Disneyland.
Not actors exactly, they are celebrities. The royal family are the British Kardashians, famous for being famous.

They appeal to a certain type of person, who lacks intelligence and doesn't have an interesting life of their own. For them a celebrity's life is something interesting.

common mistake - confusing the Crown & social media better-life with real-life -
Genalpha they believe their social media alter-ego and real-life are the same, studies on poorer mental health reveal the unfamiliarity/anxiety of physical contact with other people is identified as one of the causes,
.... surrogates film plot, next.

Why should the country rally?

I think the general consensus isn't a whinge, it's looking forward to a day off to do something fun.

Edit: By fun I mean something other than watch the TV royalfest or eat scones with neighbours you don't like
