Windows 10

Has anyone had a problem with \Windows\Logs\dosvc\ filling up their disk on 10159?

Started my PC this evening and noticed heavy disk activity but thought little of it at first as I assumed some indexing or optimisation was going on. 20min later I notice my disk (120GB SSD) in explorer which usually has about 50GB free down to 3.4GB. Did a bit of digging and found 47GB and 192,000 .etl files in C:\Windows\Logs\dosvc\ as per screenshot. I've already deleted 100,000+ of them when i took the screenshot but am struggling to delete them all despite having stopped the "Delivery Optimisation" server (dosvc)

Help required or hope 10162 mentioned above rolls out for me tonight and fixes issue

Wow 18.4GB

Mine showed only 1.43MB.

It's getting hard to keep up with all these updates!

Has anyone found a download link to UK EN-GB ISO of version 10162 yet please?

For some reason my upload is being maxed by Windows. Used netbalancer to kill the connection but it just starts maxing it again. It's uploading to some IPv6 address owned by Microsoft...

It is kind of funny really - Microsoft in the past were so slow putting out updates let alone oses. Now we have gone from slow to runaway train in 2 days.

3 builds - yikes, need my running shoes. Lol.;):D

Sorry if this is lost somewhere in this thread, but when will Windows 10 be available? I've registered for the upgrade copy via that 'thing' in the icon tray on W7. But it doesn't say when I'll be able to get it?

Probably already asked but its a huge thread. Will there be any way to download the iso file of the final version for people that get the free upgrade to windows 10 from win 8 etc? Don;t fancy having to install win 8.1 then letting it upgrade to win 10 via an upgrade download if i format.

Yes.

You have to upgrade to 10 first using the process within your Windows 8.1 installation. But once you have done that you can format and reinstall direct to 10 using media, or just use the Reset PC option inside 10.

I am hoping that at some point some sufficiently dedicated person with time on their hands might condense this thread into an FAQ sticky. :D

(I, for instance, want a simple definitive answer as to what a "Device" is? When I got Win8Pro (admittedly as part of the £25 special deal) I understood it to be a "Builders" OS not tied to any specific hardware. Do I lose or keep this entitlement if I get the "Free" upgrade to Win10?)
