Anyone else had the App and Browser Control in the Windows Security, randomly turn off ?

Ive always had it on, and seen it on earlier, but when i had a random look a few minutes ago, i had the Yellow triangle with the exclamation mark on it, with the option to switch it on underneath, so did so.

Never had it happen on 1909, so could be a 20H1 thing

Just doing a virus scan, and found adware/elex.gen.

Don't know where its come from, as not downloaded anything, apart from some files for some steam games, and i only scanned the other day, and was all clear.

Using Avira.

Me spywareblaster updated its definitions earlier, wouldn't have thought it would have come through that.

EDIT: Avira got rid, will do another scan now, make sure.

Sites used to inject ads through Flash when I remember using it. That was the main reason I ditched it back in 2007/8.

Anyone had this bugger ?

Mine doesn't have the skip for now bottom left, has remind me in 3 days (which i just selected), and underneath, ive got the like double arrowed wheel, Easy Access.

Is there a way to get rid of it ? , as im not interested in anything else.

EDIT: Think ive done it.

In the Settings > System > Notifications and Actions, i unticked, Show Me The Windows Experience After Updates, And Occasionally When I Sign In, To Highlight Whats New And Suggested.

Also, that settings banner, has now gone

I don't know if this is a recent Windows 10 update issue - or maybe I've just hit something on the keyboard...

However, for some reason when I left-click the speaker icon and various other taskbar functions, e.g. start, date/time, nothing happens.

I have to right-click in order to gain access. Changing the taskbar settings makes no difference. Weird...

I'm still purring away on 1909, with not offers of either the 20H1 or 20H2 update as of yet.

I might do my usual trial installation on a spare drive next week. I don't expect any big surprises, but just to be sure my Creative X-Fi Titanium sound will work.

Don't think i'll be upgrading to 20H2 for a while.

System and User Certificates could be lost when upgrading.

I had it awhile back and at the most annoying moments typically* - didn't even have the skip for now option - despite Athlon insisting it would be there...
