Windows 10

Just installed it now from the iso I created from the esd file. All went well with zero issues, as usual. Clean install with no problems and activated with account info. GB lang pack installed and now default.

Out of interest why did you create an en-US iso instead of en-GB, is an en-GB ESD not available at this time?

Im just installing win 10 on a friends Dell Inspiron here. It was happily installing, mentioned a few times "things seems to be taking longer than usual" and now Im just sitting at a black screen with a mouse pointer.

I dont know if I restart PC or not as I dont know if it's finished. :o

Well I took the risk and turned it off and now it seems to be booting fine.

I mean generally. There is no fresh install W10 ISO available for me to just download and install? I've been plagued with update reminders for months, so I presume W10 has been released?

No, the update to allow using windows 7/8 keys as part of the upgrade rather than taking a machine ID is part of threshold 2 which is released next week, so until' that's released then an ios for that's released.

Thank you.

When I can just grab an ISO I'll fresh install on my laptop and try it for a bit before deciding whether to commit on my PC as well.

Anyone tried NIC Teaming yet?
There's an elevated powers hell command on the net but doesn't seem to work properly...

I can see that it might be a good idea to stagger them by a couple of days, so let's just hope that 'Threshold 2' does actually appear on Thursday after all!
