Is Hyper-V the bare metal offering from Microsoft?
Hyper-V exists in two versions: as a stand-alone product called Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2, and as a part of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.

There's tons of updates that fix bugs that are never released on Windows Update.
Apparently it was leaked from Russia. Knowing that im not so eager to install that RTM just yet...
This is what ive seen on a forum "The release of this patch is NOT officially sanctioned by Microsoft. It is NOT the official final version. It was an unauthorized and premature leak out of Russia - a country known for harboring badguys. The download site is NOT authorized to host or distribute this patch - especially via Torrents."
Apart from the Hyper-V and RemoteFX bits I thought this was just a bug fix roll-up. Do you know what these unreleased fixes are?
Had it on, took it off because it was hanging on the WELCOME screen for ages, and this was after a few reboots, then then the screen would go black with a small blue circle, and only then would it bootup fully. No good to me, reminds me of Vista.
Its always best to install a service pack onto a fresh installation of Windows.
It says I need to free 8GB, my C: drive is 18GB and has less than 2GB free space. Is there a workaround for the installer or should I wait for a slipstreamed version?
Installed fine on my W7 notebook running Norton Internet Security. Tried it on a desktop running F-secure 2011 and it dies during the upgrade complaining of several trojans. Hmmm...
How can you only have an 18GB c: drive in this day & age...Even the small SSD drives are 30GB
The service pack, at least the one I have downloaded has a valid SHA1 digital signature, as of now SHA1 hasn't been cracked and isn't fakeable, check your download has a valid digital signature.
