If they can fix the majority of games that have problems, I'll probally switch, plus a few revision of hardware drivers too.
Curious which games you are having problems with?

This might have been answered elsewhere but....
Can I upgrade (for the £25 offer) from a Windows 7 OEM license (purchased from OCUK)?
I also have another PC in the house with an OEM license can that get the same offer?
Thanks
James
Yes it has in this thread, yes to the upgrade and yes to getting the same offer on the other PC (providing it's XP, Vista or 7)![]()

The only game I have had problems with is Company of Hero's that runs in a window for some reason?
I was wondering this too. Nearly all the games I play are Steam ones and the only ones I couldn't get to work were the ones the use Games for Windows. I expect that this will be fixed, if it is problem at all, with the release version we are getting this month.
It often did that on Windows 7 for me tooBut I can confirm that CoH works and plays flawlessly on Windows 8.
Try ALT+ENTER and it should go fullscreen, or check that you haven't got it set to windowed in the settings.
You never replied to your other thread on this, what games are you suffering problems with Prescott? The GFWL fix I've mentioned works on most for me, but if you can give specifics I can see if I have the same games and same problems![]()
Maybe I am shooting myself in the foot, but I haven't even tried Windows 8 yet lol.Nikumba said:Curious which games you are having problems with?prescott28 said:I was wondering this too. Not having Start Menu is kinda putting me off, maybe I should just jump in, I've managed to errr'm find a UK version of Windows 8 RTM... I could always activate it once I bought it come October 25th.
Their is a list of games not compatable here, not sure how good the list is >> http://www.hardcore-games.tk/wp/old-games-no-win8.php
Anyone got LA Noire? See if that works, if possible?
Damn, so in other words their is no 30 day activation period like Windows 7?ChileanLlama said:If it's an unknown source I'd be tempted to either try the Enterprise Trial or just wait. Without frigging it you need to enter the 8 or 8 pro key at install anyway.
Oh! I don't like that at all lol, so no early access for me anyway, I'll have to just source it when it's released on 25th Oct then, thanks for the info.Nelly said:Damn, so in other words their is no 30 day activation period like Windows 7?ChileanLlama said:Not unless you modify the installer, as it uses the key during install to decide which version of Win8/8Pro and feature set are enabled.
Although I use Chrome as my default browser, it's the only thing I hate about Chrome, for downloading large files I just use Firefox, Internet Download Manager is good as well for an accelerator.bulb66 said:Was just downloading the iso for the 64bit ver and got to 3.1GB of 3.3GB and i closed chrome by mistake
Going to wait until trw once i've had my Fibre BB installed![]()
