Windows 9

Anything really. :D

Edit: Like most people hate the apps and metro design. I do too; it shouldn't be on the future versions of Windows or they could make 2 types of Windows (One made for touch screen devices and one for keyboard/mouse). I personally prefer the keyboard and mouse.

Metro is not here to stay, business won't buy it. Ever.

Exactly.

I'm praying there will be a "Professional" or "Enterprise" edition of Windows 9 with absolutely none of this app-crap.

If we even suggested our clients move to Windows 8 with all this counter-productive app-crap they would run for the hills and never renew their contracts with us.

It's actually pretty worrying.

Windows XP for Business = YES YES YES YES
Windows V for Business = NO NO NO NO
Windows 7 for Business = YES YES YES YES
Windows 8 for Business = NO NO NO NO NO
Windows 9 for Business = YES YES YES YES

:D

/ WE :D

Give business users a touch screen monitor and they would expect the company to employ cleaners to clean their screen every day for them. bahahahaha

More cost to a company because of Windows 8! :)

On the other hand.... BYOD ..... they will carry a cloth with them and clean their own devices because IT's THEIRS!!! :D

Windows 7 & Windows XP will never be beaten. . . . . YET :) xD

most businesses still use xp they could upgrade to win7 but choose not too. so even if Microsoft did a win9 business version which don't have metro I really can't see them businesses upgrading still.

I agree, but XP is stuck to the amount of RAM you can use. Businesses are taking on more programs and higher value one(s). Versions are starting to fade away.

RAM is a major factor on how the computer runs. Although, XP is stuck to how much can be used.

Aha, good point. LOL! :D

I'm never upgrading from Windows 7 until I hear and see good and I mean extremely good reviews.

There will always be businesses which don't upgrade, and there will always be businesses which get the latest stuff. Doesn't mean there shouldn't be an option for the ones who want to to have the latest systems.

All our clients, a dozen with 50-100 users each, are on Windows 7/Server 2008/R2.

I haven't seen a single actual business who's still on Windows XP. I've been to various schools, colleges, libraries and corporate premises and they're all on Windows 7.

The only reasons why a "business" would be using Windows XP is:
  • Support for specialist legacy software/hardware - probably just one standalone machine.
  • Lack of money.
  • Lazy or lack of admins.

If Mr Smith running his 3-man business down the road is running XP, he's a home user as far as corporations go.

Te***/Barclays are still on XP due to being too large/complicated or it's just backend systems or needing to run legacy stuff.. No consultant would want to **** with such an important company; didn't Natwest have a meltdown recently when they tried to upgrade systems.

Libraries in Leicester are on XP due to lack of money.
