right click my computer and click manage
users
right click ADMINISTRATOR and "set password".
done.


does work with FAHMON just like normal but without ETA and other info.

Ok i've set the admin password.
How do i tell it to use the administrator user account?

I'm seeing no wu info in fahmon at all, is this normal?

yes thats normal
you'ed have to re-install it for that, quite easy but if its working atm just leave it.
 
Right you all have til 11.30pm tonight to sort out all the problems :p

I've a pair of linux SMP WU's ending around then and I'll start running the Windows SMP client.

If all goes well I'm switching to x64 Vista full-time.

It says unable to connect, presumably because i'm logged onto my account but trying to use the password for the admin account...?

I don't want a password on my account so i'd rather get rid of it and use the admin one.

ok, run the installer again and give it the details for the administrator account
I dunno if you have to run fah.exe -configonly again but it may be worth it.
 
First frame took 5 hours :eek: but then I was running VMware at the same time!

Now I'm down to 18mins/frame on a stock E6600. ( won't be stock for long though:D )

edit/ this seems to be working out at 30 hours/1760 unit, I was doing a ubuntu/VM unit in 25 hours. I might be back with ubuntu if this trend continues :(

It work first time for me - shut it down when removing VM and now having alsorts of problems :o

Here we go again - now I've cleared out all the smpn files. and my connection is back up and running :eek:

Just as well I got new hardware when I did. I'd have got pwned into last century with this and what I had previously.

I'm not done getting new hardware either. :cool:
 
when you post the frame times can you post what WU you're working on and what clock speeds/processor you're running it on!

Seems to have taken almost an hour to do 1 but i was gaming.
I'll count from 2%.

2%@ 6.51pm

I can't see this pos meeting the deadlines tbh.
 
Well for me if my maths are still working:

p2651 = 1760points @ 10m 14s/frame = 2476ppd
p2650 = 1148points @ 8m 30s/frame = 1944ppd
