I've had one crash as well, game just hangs with sound looping, no idea what caused it though.

Gah, torrent was doing 500kbps for about 45 min and then shot down to 30kbps and now down to 9kbps. The speed changes are so uniform I conclude that it must be some sort of control adopted by the ISP i'm using atm, which is BT. I'm using utorrent, any way to easily get around the throttling?

I used the torrent file from the link in the first page and averaged 1.5mbs with my 20mb cable connection.

Game is good, tutorials worked fine but have had a number of freezes with looping sound in the first mission of the demo campaign.

ive had sound issues aswell but only after using a certain weapon button...cannot remember which one but it just makes the sound repeat over and over....doesnt lock up mind it just adds extra gun fire sounds when im not shooting.

I only have a low spec machine at the moment (radeon 3200 onboard gfx) and it was just about playable on lowest settings. I'm impressed, I've been waiting for a game like this for ages. Reminds me of the fun I used to have on MS Combat Flight Simulator (many moons ago!).

Game is still a little pricey for me though, I'm going to hold out and see what the retail copies are going to cost then maybe treat myself.

Have you patched the game to the current 1024 or whatever it is?

Looks like the new smaller dedicated demo will be released later today, may be worth trying that when it's available.

Finally got the demo. It's awesome, I especially like how you can play it in either "arcade" or "realistic" modes.

Runs flawlessly at maximum settings at 1920*1200. So that's 16x AF and 8x AA on my 4890. It's very, very pretty.

I think I'll buy it.

Yes, and very well, that's what I'm using. I don't know if it's common in flight sims but there seems to be ready made configs for almost every joystick under the sun.
