Thursday and Fridays snowfall that's coming up from France.

We have had two short blizzards this afternoon - although stopped now it's left a white over covering - I think the expanse of white has sent my CCTV cameras snow blind - two of them looking at open landscape are half way between full daylight and dusk - like they have sun glasses on

Found this picture from past - this was just up lane from us and it says 1986 but think it might be 1982/3 - sorry about quality - scanned a photo

Edinburgh did that yesterday, not a single flake had fallen at the time of the announcement, we have fair bit now but I have seen it a damn sight worse, Amazon made it to my door as did the postie but John Lewis has failed and whoever was supposed to deliver my Dyson V8.

Where abouts are you? Glasgow is fairly horrendous, the main road outside my flat looks passable but I don't know if I'd even be able to get my car out of my car park. Probably not going to make it in for my night shift tonight.
 
Snowing and sticking in South Wales now. So far all the roads are still clear but judging by the forecast I'd expect the gritters to start prioritising the major arteries soon
 
Pretty bad here (Dumfries) all day, got about 5inches of snow and no sign of it stopping. I tried to do some donuts in the car park i have outside my house (its a private one) and.. nope the wee 5 didnt think that was worth waking up for. :D
 
On holiday in the Yorkshire Dales currently. Supposed to be leaving on Friday but we managed to get stuck yesterday and had to be towed by a tractor.. joys of not having a 4x4. Today the snow is almost knee deep and as rations are low as did a 8 mile round, 3 hour walk to the shops.. which is usually a 10-15 minute drive.

One of my dogs is loving the weather though

Snowing hard here right now. Must be about 4 inches deep. Dread to think what it will be like in the coming days. I blame the Russians, they've clearly rigged the weather system!
