It is such a tease - some of the charts look epic but right on a knife edge.

EDIT: Also have mixed opinions as while I love snow I'll be working outdoors in the early hours Friday/Saturday :s

Aye, it looks like the council have given up with treating roads these days with all the cut backs.

Even the main road into Aberdeen wasn’t treated or gritted and that’s Bear that is supposed to look after it. Only the Tyrebagger had seen a gritter when I went in the first morning.
You must be near me, the roads in westhill were so bad I couldn't make it to the road to tyrebagger!

Argh this weather is such a tease - still on a knife edge between cold but nothing remarkable and some decent snowy weather :s

You must be near me, the roads in westhill were so bad I couldn't make it to the road to tyrebagger!

Simple solution, remove the summer tyres and get all seasons at the very least, or alternatively a set of winters.

Councils can’t clean every road to perfection.

I'm checking the weather every 5 minutes this past week. Getting married on Saturday and so far the forecast for Lichfield is snow friday, blue sky Saturday. I'd be happy for that, snow on the ground, sun in the sky :D

We’ve currently got snow forecast from tomorrow all the way through to Monday. Going to be wild tomorrow with gales through the day.

Evening all...been following this thread for a while and decided to jump in on the convo...desperate here for snow! Seen the forecast change so many times in last few days! Here’s hoping! Winds picking up last few hours...we will see!

I had winter tyres on my old car, but when the roads are sheet ice there's still no grip. Really good on fresh snow though

Get decent winter tyres or adjust your technique then. ;) the ones I have are good on ice too, there’s a lot of it here!

Tomorrow looks interesting

Which will probably turn into a few flakes and lots of rain!

The wind is starting to pick up here now. A hour ago it was gusting to the mid 20's and now is in the low-mid 30's and we just had a gust of 38.9mph. It's 4.2 degrees C, down from 5.2 degrees C a hour ago with a windchill of -7.2 plus it's trying to start snowing. It's supposed to get really bad here later on today so I will update if it get's worse.

On a side note, why the hell can't neighbours secure their bloody wheelie bins!! This has been forecast for days yet they leave their bins in the open so when it's windy they get blown over and all their crap ends up in everyone elses gardens. It happens everytime we have strong winds.

Well that turned into a damp squib. No higher gust of wind than this mornings 38.9mph and it actually started dropping by 11am. No snow, just a bit of rain although the temp did drop to 2.3 degrees C. Yet another highly inaccurate weather report, again!!
