Just after I took the second pic our planting fell down along the top if the fence

Top pic shows our poor bamboo tree, usually stands up at 10ft+

So much snow! Seem to have skipped the rain. Much more today, tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Work seems unlikely tomorrow. I have an important meeting on Tuesday. Hopefully they sort the roads.

We were expecting heavy snow from about 5am through to midday. Weather forecast has now been scaled back to light snow at 11am. Daughter 2 is devastated.

Still going to be -4 tonight, though, so that’s not ideal.

Ahh, but is the Bear sick and injured because it is starving or is it starving because it is sick and injured.

Being an apex carnivorous predator is actually a high risk survival strategy. Disease and starvation is pretty much the inevitable fate for one that can no longer make the grade.
