That's a light dusting, not even 1cm. Flaming southerners :p

I never claimed it wasnt just a dusting, but when I stepped outside it was just slightly deeper than the sole of my boot, which is about a centimetre thick. I guess that's not quite as thick as that chip on your shoulder though :D

So where is all this snow? I can still see the grass in the garden.

Yet my local train service on a comical shutdown.

sigh woke up early got ready for work only for my mate to text me the trains are $£%^

and they really are all services cancelled till alteast 9am.. i emailed my manager and he and my colleagues are having issues too

its not even that bad outside just abit of frost hardly any snow it really is pathetic

people in Russia must be laughing at us

well only good things is i can go back to bed for an hour :D

2 inches or so overnight here, still coming down in stages and amber warning still in place for the next 3 days.

Edit: Proper blizzard conditions at the moment, already covered over the tracks in the side street.

Absolutely nothing in London over night which was unexpected, but lots of people at work from Kent and Essex struggling as they got a decent amount. Underground was a bit quieter than normal in London...

Kent and East Sussex got hit by loads, we have about 4 inches here in TN6, loads of the roads are fudged.

Nothing here. Yet. Snow is expected later in the week though. It tried yesterday but there wasn't enough to settle on the ground, it just melted away almost instantly.

I'm around 30 miles North East of you and seems the map was pretty spot on as the amber warning area at the most southernly point just covered my town.

Yeah, couple of inches, was blizzard conditions around 30 minutes ago but it's brightened up and stopped now. Can see it coming in from the sea though.

Weird how we live only 30 miles apart and yet the weather conditions are so localised that you have lying snow and blizzard conditions and I have a calm snowless day. For now anyway :)

My brother just messaged the same thing pretty much, he's working in Newton Aycliffe and drove out of the snow this morning.
