Winter 2020/2021

Not looking like anything but cold, windy and dry here :(

Well we did actually have a snow shower lasting about an hour and it was done - none of it laid however was expecting nothing more so wasn't surprised. Actually thats the first falling snow I've seen since 2018 so I guess thats something. Dry the rest of the week.

The local paper has a section saying "share your pictures of the snow!" and theres a few photos of wet pavements and a thin dusting on the grass on the top of the hills heh

Bitterly cold out there tonight. We have a dusting of it so far. Higher chance of some heavier stuff later. It won’t be going anywhere in those temperatures. It’s pretty windy too.

Brace yourselves in Southampton, a few flakes might be coming in the next 10mins, according to Wunderground...

Every year get let down by these ridiculous forecasts. Going to ignore anything they say anymore. I'll believe it when I see it out my window. 2ft of snow not white rain all day in to a puddle.

Do you know how difficult it is to accurately forecast snow?

It’s been literally non stop all day here since around 07:00 and it’s settled nicely.

Right on the coast, top north east corner of Essex.

Working in Bedfordshire had a fair old dusting of powdery snow, but where it been gritted it's been washed away currently.

Being at work I can go in areas untouched with grit in our vehicle and fair amount of snow has come down.

Guessing it's going to be very icy on the drive home!

I saw the op run earlier and had to laugh - though less of a laughing matter if it came off.

Frustrating it looks generally being so dry when we have all the other conditions cooperating :( but looks like more cold spilling out over the next 2-3 weeks so should produce a fair few chances for snow.

Quite abit of snow back home but the mains roads are all clear gritters done a good job.

I was shocked that the roads had not iced over bad at -2.5 out it was worse last week when it froze after the rain.

Hate when the windscreen wash jets don't work because its so cold!

No ice/frost here, probably due to how dry it is, despite temperatures being well below 0.

It is a weird kind of cold here - sort of sneaky and you feel it in the wind but it doesn't feel as cold as it actually is.
