I'm not sure people struggling to pay their energy bills will agree with you...About time we had a proper cold Winter.

Sub zero is hot m8, toastyShowing sub-zero temps from tomorrow and all of next week here.... Checked 3 different sites (as they can vary wildly) but they are all reporting the same
About time we had a proper cold Winter.
But what about meeeeeeI'm not sure people struggling to pay their energy bills will agree with you...
In your location...does that mean hell is freezing over? Lol
Still 8c here, doesn't look like any proper decent cold stuff here anytime soon.

9c feels like 8.5 in Gosport on there. Can confirm, just been for a walk and only a t shirt is required. Could see a frost overnight though, but nothing real cold.0 feels like -3 in SO18 according to https://www.wunderground.com/ ...
Might need to run all three e7 storage heaters tonight for the first time this winter!![]()
Edited my earlier post for clarity, writing about tonight, rather than now.9c feels like 8.5 in Gosport on there. Can confirm, just been for a walk and only a t shirt is required. Could see a frost overnight though, but nothing real cold.
Not keen on the huge heating bill coming!
It’s more than just a struggle for some. It can be fatal, especially for pensionersI'm sure they wont but what else do we hope or aim for - warm weather all year round in the UK?
I empathise with people that will struggle this Winter. My posting history will show the fact I have empathy for people's struggles as we all get them (well, most of us).
Apologies that, in a thread about Winter and how cold it might get, you cant post about quite liking cold Winters![]()
I am looking to see how I compare with last Winter (Dec 1st to Feb 28th)
Elec - 243kWh used
Gas - 831kWh used
At current prices (fixed rate) this would equate to:
Elec - £135.21 (plus £50.63 SC)
Gas - £61 (plus £21 SC)
Total - £196.21 for, what should be, the coldest 3 months (unless I use more)
And yes that is my feet, so yeah I bang on about this but heated throw ftw, had it on full whack this am and wow, totally tropical for peanuts, but I live alone (edit live alone not love alone.but that fits also )
