£3.12 in gas yesterday for me and it's on 24/7 at the minute. 16c overnight 18/20c through the day depending on room.
My flat leaks heat like a nasa rocket burns fuel. Had all windows closed bar 1 tiny gap for bathroom and closed doors. It never got above 17c. Too many windows in my flat leaking air.

Kitchen has a large window and smaller window.
Lounge has 3 large windows
Upper hallway has a huge window
My bedroom has 2 massive windows
Kids Bedroom has 1 massive window
Toilet has a window
Shower room has a window
Downstairs entrance hallway has a door and a bay style window with 3 panes.

I need something to stop the leakage

Congrats on being such a tough guy

No, no no... This is how you do it:

Nest on for 11.5hrs yesterday and I know it kicked in a few times in the night. So probably burned about £300 in 24hrs

That's mental... For comparison - I was in all day and the Nest is showing 2¾ hours full usage over a 14 hour window (8am-10pm when its set to "heat")

you will probably find a gap at the sides and top take off the trim .. get multiple cans of spray foam and go at it :) ... had to do a few of mine .. :)

This flat faces north and its on the corner of the building so its basically an ice box in here when the wind blows from north/NE

I dunno what the GFS is on:

Culminates with up to 50cm of snow over high ground in Wales.

I have my doubts but it isn't a scenario entirely without support and the jet while not ideal isn't sitting in a position where you just know it won't come off no matter how much other factors are favourable.

Don't think that long range stuff you post has been accurate once yet.

The GFS hasn't exactly got the best track record for accuracy but annoyingly is one of the most accessible for data presentation.

Something which should concern people really albeit a different discipline but the agency behind it are also one of the foremost involved in modelling climate change...

ECM not so enthusiastic with a briefer more brushing cold, but most of the other longer range models leaning towards a more wintery scenario around the 18th with this mornings updates.

As long as there's no black ice.

If there's one thing that stops me from going out on my bike, its black ice.

Apart from downpours, snow, really cold weather, or high winds.

That's more nonsense than even the daily mail!
Is that saying 27cm of snow For Cardiff?

Met Office Deep Dive yesterday saying rest of Winter is looking more likely to be dry and cold.

I'll take dry and cold!
I don't mind if the heating is more cause of it.

Actually, I've started to notice our house is warmer in sunny/0c than cloudy 10c.

Ita not just the feeling either. The heating is now off as most of the house is warm from the windows + sun.
