All this seems rather exaggerated to me. 55-60mph gusts really aren’t that bad at all. Few chairs and bins knocked over and maybe a few loose tiles and rickety fences. Media go on like we should be preparing for the four horsemen

Not sure about my rickety fence surviving.

I'm commenting on the BBC forecast which has relatively low wind gust speeds for these storms for some reason, assuming that is what they are as I can't quickly see a legend. They were showing 40s to 50s in the previous storms when we had gust speeds up to 80MPH so if the same applies with it showing 65 on the BBC that could be quite bad :s

It is overexaggerated. They knock out warnings for too little and nobody takes nobody takes notice.

I assume you won't be driving around in it though. Quite likely there'll be a few deaths unfortunately.
