It's later tonight we are due to get battered.
Nice and blustery here which means I can open garage door a bit -open window other end and get vac out and put it on blow and clean all shelves and floor of dust - Straight out the window onto next doors lawn - They only polished it yesterday. You think I am kidding !!
Strap your chickens down it's coming.
They should be in bed by now. In really strong winds the run has been lifted. I'm sure it won't come to that...

How do you not sleep near a window, I have at least one in each room.

Supposed to be hitting 50mph here now. Can barely notice it tbh. I must live in the most boring part of the UK and probably Europe for weather. Last year, every single thunderstorm missed us or gave us a couple of quiet faraway rumbles at most.
Im not asking for tornadoes and blizzards all the time, but a bit of exciting weather wouldn’t go amiss ffs.

Nah I think Telegraph being a bit overdramatic. Will be tiles and powercuts more likely.
In terms of the progression of this storm, my curtain is twitching a bit....

Well the main storm was due to hit Bristol at 1pm. Here we are 3.5 hours later and according to my new weather station the strongest wind we've had is 16.5 mph, which is 4 on the Beaufort Scale= Moderate Breeze.
I could guff a stronger wind than this.
