Watching this I have no idea what is coming next. I was surprised to see such a pivotal person as the King bumped off so early which has left me with the feeling that anyone could be bumped off at any point.

Sean Bean is the lead in this series. In a written for TV show they wouldn't dream of bumping him off. In this, I don't know if he will survive his current predicament.

Sean Bean doesn't have a great history of characters 'surviving' though :p

oi watch it you ..............:p

tbh most British actors in hollywood end up been baddies in films, the whole of the death star was full of brits lol

I'm northern too! But yeah, Hollywood likes making Brits to be baddies. In this case he's a goodie but after last weeks episode I fail to see how he can get out of it and avoiding dying. I reckon he will be klled for treason by the new King. After all he's one of the few people who knows the truth and what Roberts last wishes were so they can't afford to let him live.

This is one of the very few shows I really cannot wait for the next episode - similar to my Dexter-addiction period.

The issue is not entirely the studios, but also the actors: in the US, if you play a villain once then you are forever a villain. So they never want to play villains. You get work, but it never pays as well, or gives you as much fame, as being the hero. Which is why it is rare for actors to cross that line. But British actors don't seem to mind being typecast as villains. They still get typecast, but they don't mind.
