Witcher 3

you have to create the bombs same as potions and oils

first and easiest to make are Samum probably , celadine flowers are common enough and saltpetr can be scavenged in loot bags

okay, thanks. i'll have a look later when i finish work at 3. :) bombs would make witcher life a bit easier, especially against mobds of ghouls etc.

I suspect any frame rate issues will be patched soon.

i haven't really noticed any framerate issues on my ps4 yet.

So people who have not played 1 & 2. This worth the buy?

I would say so, I don't feel like I've (although probably have) missed out on anything. The story made it feel like a new game with no previous.

One gripe I have though is I find the inventory hard to see when sitting 7-8 feet away from the TV. Nothing wrong with my eyes, just seems very geared towards a PC where you sit closer.

Also struggling with one of the treasure hunt quests I found on White Orchard notice board. It just tells me to "read the letter I found", but I've read everything I own and the quest just doesn't progress.

indeed. i'm also struggling to see the text on screen and often find myself squinting to read item descriptions. although, the subtitles seem fine.

im sat about 6 feet away from my TV.

Loving this, but man is it difficult at times, and I'm finding it a bit overwhelming too. The combat is unforgiving but incredibly satisfying, you really need to be patient, keep moving, and do your research on the people you're fighting. Very in depth.

This was very satisfying: http://i.imgur.com/DyBshmn.gifv

Nice picnic blanket. :p

the temarian armour and horse armour was available from the merchant you rescue after I downloaded it

Ahhh I see, I'll have to check that out, see if the armour I currently have is better or worse.

Plenty of loot to be had at the battlefield by the way, I picked up about 30 axes and 10-12 swords to net a nice profit. It's up at the top right of the first area.

Guys, just a reminder to keep story and major enemy stuff/tactics in spoiler tags please. I don't think anyone has posted anything serious yet, so this is just a heads up :)

I am currently looting everything I see alchemy / crafting-wise in the hope it will all be useful in the future.

The only slightly annoying thing is how quickly everything breaks and how expensive it all is to repair - I don't think I've ever had more than 500g.
