Wolfenstein The New Colossus

Do you have to have played the first two to get this?

If you care about the story, you should play the first two before playing this one, both games are often in sales can can be bought really cheap.

That said, when you play this game it does... "recap" like the major points from the last games, so you could skip them, but I wouldn't, the games are awesome.

First two games from machine games are way too good to over look, Wolfenstein 2009 not bad but you would struggle to get it now by legitimate means, Return To castle Wolfenstein is my all time favourite single player game but it is sadly showing its age now.

Should do, I ran the New Order on a Phenom X4 980 and a HD7870 Tahiti and it played ok, it was vastly better on my i74790k and gtx 980 so I think you will be ok
This new game is on a new game engine but I bet you would run it ok just not maxxed out

Vault Simulation added today has the most ugly looking screen filters applied to it you cannot remove either. It adds a faint criss cross pattern which lets you know your not playing the main game but it looks a bit naff to me :(

Enjoying the game. Graphics are nice, but elements lack detail/clarity. As mentioned by others facial features is one thing that always grabs attention as being lacking in detail.

On RX VEGA 64 with v17.11.1 I had Async Compute missing to re-enable after I turned it off and restarted game, deleted:-

i) Wolfenstein II The New ColossusConfig.cfg
ii) Wolfenstein II The New ColossusConfig.local

Within c:\users\<your username>\Saved Games\MachineGames\Wolfenstein II The New Colossus\base to gain back.

Loving this so far, I'm not that far into it but one thing baffles me - the map/objective system. When you look at the map, there are various little icons on it but how do you know where your objective is and what direction you are supposed to be travelling in? Maybe I'm missing the obvious here?

Hmmm. Game was running sweet for me prior to the update but now it loads up like this and in-game text is the same. Anyone any ideas? :(

It can be a bit confusing as to where to go to be honest. Not for the first time I have stumbled on the way forward after going round in circles for a while. Map is pretty usleless.

I'm playing this on the 'Bring em on" setting. 3/6 hardest. Does seem a little bit easy to churn through Nazi's although you can also quickly die if left exposed.

Does it get tougher or should I up the difficulty a bit?

Oh and on Uber graphics settings at 1440p running astonishingly well.
