Wolfenstein The New Colossus

I'm playing this on the 'Bring em on" setting. 3/6 hardest. Does seem a little bit easy to churn through Nazi's although you can also quickly die if left exposed.

Does it get tougher or should I up the difficulty a bit?

Oh and on Uber graphics settings at 1440p running astonishingly well.
I'm on Xb1 and finding this difficulty to be fair, about 3 hours in and I am dying a fair bit now.

A lot of reviewers thought the difficulty was a bit up and down and on this setting many turned it down to the 2nd option to actually enjoy the game so will see how it goes, for now it's about right

I am playing the hardest difficulty and essentially a burst from a single soldier kills me unless I have full health and armour, otherwise second burst kills me. I would say that the game would be far more enjoyable if I was not playing on hardest difficulty, I would imagine it would be more fun to run and gun rather than sneak (out of necessity, otherwise some parts are next to impossible) or just memorise when and who will shoot because otherwise you die, just not enough time to react before enemy kills you in some parts.

Edit: Just to be clear, I'm playing on hardest available difficulty on the first play through, I think after beating the game even harder one is unlocked.

I played it on Bring em on and found it just right until the final battle - ended up dropping it down a level after 10 attempts and on the final attempt being killed by the last enemy that I didn't see! It was more the length of the time the sequence takes that I got frustrated with than being uber difficult.

This games reminds me of a cross between Metro 2033 and Fall Out 4.

The section in Manhattan is the kind of game Fall Out 4 wishes it was. Graphics wise and game play.

Does feel a little bit easy on the 'Bring it on mode' however. Don't seem to be able to change the difficulty settings.

For example the bit in:
Manhattan where the big robot appears I wasn't even warmed up and the next thing I know he was down

I'm still very early in the game though so hoping it gets a bit more challenging.

I'm thinking though that this might be the first game where I immediately have another play through this time on a harder setting.

Finished this earlier and loved it, liked the story and most of the cast and there were some genuinely ‘WTF’ moments in there which is always good.

Was pretty disappointed how easy the last section was though even on terror Billy setting and I encountered a few game breaking graphical bugs which had me restarting the game on more than 1 occasion. Overall a very worthy purchase.

Even though this took me 14hrs to complete the main story, I've now started to do the ubercommander missions and use the Enigma machine to locate them, as well as a bunch of side missions for the Evas Hammer crew.

With these thrown in, it's gonna be another 14 hours I reckon of exploring and killing the Ubers with stealth in mind.

Really is a great game. Not sure if I'll bother with the dlc coming soon though, need to see what it is all about first.

How is this running on Nvidia cards with the new drivers and the autumn creators update? Are things smooth yet? I’m thinking of picking it up. Is the dlc free?? I’m on a 980ti 1500/8000

Finally finished the game on I am Death Incarnate difficulty, took me 14 hours and I did several enigma code missions to get the other 2 gear upgrades. A good chunk of these 14 hours was restarting game like 30 times over and over trying to get past a tough spot. Oddly enough last fight was not the hardest, done it after like 15 attempts.

Good game, the one criticism would be cut scenes and a lot of emotions and drama that the story is trying to push, I just wanted to shoot and kill stuff.

I'm playing on "Call me terror Billy" and have died a lot.

In fact it's taken me 2 hours to get to the Submarine hub section and the game says I've completed 4%! I assume that's because I am missing loads of collectable stuff though.

Anyone read the subtitled conversations between the Nazi solders? The one where two are chatting away about health and safety on whether they should get radiation protection gear or not had me lolling :D

The difficulty I choose is too easy.

Especially after a couple weapon upgrades.

I'm a lil bit disappointed tbh. The story part is fun, the gunplay, not so much. It's a bit all same-y, stealth is harder, and the moving around more awkward (keep getting snagged on things).

Props to the designs, environments, and the goofy plot and characters. The tone is a bit weird and uneven, but hey, I don't mind.

I think it's an excellent game and there are some genuinely fun parts. also the music and sense of excitement is there.

The issue I have with my weapons is actually the opposite.

I added a scope to my assault rifle and now it shoots single shots. Is there a secondary fire mode?

Also I added the nail upgrade to the sub machine gun and now it fires slower. (With higher damage)

Doesn't feel like upgrades.

You can hot swap weapon mods, c for right gun, z for left. I used scoped rifle the most in my play through (before getting shotties), it rips through everything and handy for head shots. Automatic fire mode has less punching power. For every other weapon I did prefer their original state without attachments that change the gun's mechanic, so you have a fair point.
