You were definitely breaching the 4GB Video memory limit earlier, now you are at 3.5gb.Well I dropped all the settings from max to high and fps has doubled (still shocking fps for such bad graphics though):
Does it crash without OBS running?Short playthrough i had, the end of the video is where the game crashed taking OBS with it. This is with all settings maxed, including AA and Async Compute on.
I just reached the first big robot type boss you fight where you jump down off a big ledge. Just prior to jumping down off that big ledge, there was lots of lights and shadows in the building and i noticed my FPS were down in the 60's at 3440x1440 Uber Settings. Checked video memory usage and it was up to 8GB. Save and exited the game, enabled 11GB of High Bandwidth cache, and saw my FPS jump up by 35-40.
Not my kind of game really. Bring on Star Wars Battlefront I say.
Am i the only one who has not had any issues with this game? Just plug and play for me with Vega.
I find it gets super challenging when you up the difficulty, completing it on the hardest setting is going to take some work.
Good to hear and yes, you absolutely must play Doom on Vega 64. Not only is it an excellent game, it flies!Happy to report it's one of the most trouble free games I've ever had!
And coming from a GTX770 where I've been gimped at 2G trying to work 1440p to a Vega 64 LC with more memory than you can shake a stick at, it's an absolute joy to be able to play a FPS as this good looking at this speed.
I surely hope some kind sparks gets DOOM 2016 for my from my Christmas wishlist if it's just as good![]()

I thought you already had a Vega or did you just sell the Fury? I have a 470 in my miner rig and iv tested in games its actually a pretty good little card. It will run everything at 1080p just fine but make sure its running at the rated clock speeds by adjusting power usage and or fan speed because they can be buggers for downclocking.I'd like some of that, At the moment I'm running a 1600x and RX470 and 5 minutes in it froze forcing a PC reboot, At 3440x1440 I don't expect miracles from a 470 so I had the settings heavily downgraded and it was fine until I came out of the closet (no not that closet). I hope the rumours about Vega AIB's at the end of October or early November is right, I'll put playing this on hold until I get Vega now.
I'm excited for that too, Never got Battlefront as I'm not really interested in multiplayer but after hearing about 2's campaign I can't wait.
Interesting, we don't have any similar reports from other customers on either of those games AFAIK. :/It does ye. Varies a lot as to when it crashes, sometimes it's 30 seconds into the game and other times it's 20 - 30 minutes into the game. I did file a bug report using the link in your sig too.
I've been getting a similar problem in Rainbow Six Siege too, been there since 17.10.2.
I can confirm that Texture Streaming and Shadow Quality are two big players in video memory consumption, texture steaming being the bigger of the two.
System memory, right? I enabled 11.7GB of HBCC (system memeory to act as a frame buffer). I have 32GB of system memory which can be used to supplement Vega's 8GB of HBM.Well I have 11GB but feel a bit inadequate as I used to have 12GB.![]()

Nope, got 16GB of that!
Titan XM to 1080Ti.
