Wolfenstien 2 Vulkan benchmarks:

Any idea what settings to drop to free up some memory (aside from texture quality) and get FPS back without impacting IQ too much?

Unfortunately tweaktown etc. haven't got a good graphics guide up.
Not sure, you may have to try individual settings.

Ok, will have a mess around later, I might just leave it for the time being until a few more patches though, ridiculous the amount of complaints on steam etc. with this game and what's worse, is that most of the issues where also present in the previous games, I just don't understand developers, eventually get issues fixed only to re-introduce the same old issues in their next game :/

Just update that bloody potato already cheapo :p

Not upgrading for broken/unoptimised games and certainly not when the market/climate for PC hardware is extremely **** so nope nope nope :p

OLED and PS 4 next month for me, me thinks! End of October and still no ******* sign of AIB vega 64, just meh!

It is one game and its a mess at launch and already a Beta patch (for both sides) what does that tell you?

So much for the greatest thing on earth since slice breads aka Vulcan, looks worse than OpenGL games from the past IMO.

I do not really need 200+FPS but that is what I get/got before having to disable that A-Sync setting due to nothing else being changeable without BSOD my PC with it on.

Vulkan has nothing to do with it as doom looked the same in vulkan mode compared to opengl but performed far better under vulkan mode.

It is just simply another case of the PC version getting shafted again because of console.

I meant the game books bad overall not that Vulcan is to do with the looks but its not a good launch to show of Vulcan is it?

Looks aside (I feel its low textures) the issues both team are getting, you can see the read me in the Beta Patch and probably is more to it than that by reading Steam Forums.

Am i the only one who has not had any issues with this game? Just plug and play for me with Vega.

I find it gets super challenging when you up the difficulty, completing it on the hardest setting is going to take some work.

No issues for me on a 1080Ti either.

Just had a takedown from behind, hatchet to the nuts ! :p

The game works out the box but mess with settings even the RES and well you can see by Steam Forums and fact there is a beta patch to address AMD and Nvidia issues.

EDIT: I canny type on this new KB (Mech and small keys caps) Grrrrrrrrrr

Async was crashing in our driver so the dev left it disabled for us until we fixed it in 17.10.3. This beta patch enabled Async support for us, there was not any mention of AMD bugs in the beta patch.

This game is nothing great, the first two were better looking and less launch issues.

Not all users on steam reporting issues are Nvidia users.

Looks pretty good from what I've seen and it should run well on my acient system. Going to pick it up Monday hopefully.

No issues for me either with vega. Been running well over 100fps at 1440p & mein leben setting. It does dip below 100 in some places & also was dropping below 60 looking at the sky in the first outdoor section! I've updated to the latest beta now plus the beta patch & sky-gazing doesn't tank the fps anymore (although I'm in a different section now).

The game isn't getting too good of feedback now on a few sites i.e. forbes etc., although they are just going by all the user feedback on the likes of steam etc.

Well I dropped all the settings from max to high and fps has doubled (still shocking fps for such bad graphics though):

Although in some ways, those settings actually look better than "max" to me. With max, the game just looks muddy and dull.

However, now I have this issue...... Look at the sky and white artifacts appear:

So yup, time to wait a few months until Bethesda fix yet another buggy POS of theirs.
