There was a EU vote while we were still a member, and the final vote was in favour of binning this stupid pointless biannual nonsense; then Covid hit and everyone just forgot about it.About time we stop this nonsense and stick to bst.
Set up a petition if enough people agree parliament will debate it.There was a EU vote while we were still a member, and the final vote was in favour of binning this stupid pointless biannual nonsense; then Covid hit and everyone just forgot about it.
You missed the ‘clocks go forward’ thread then?We invented time..
Best one I've heard all year
He has loads of clocks. Not a problem for King Charles, the Palace and Windsor Castle employs a Royal Clock Master to ensure all the clocks are always set correctly. I think it's still Fjodor van den Broek.
I shouldn't have to. The vote was in 2018 while we were still a member of the EU. Add to that, every time I see someone get a petition with enough votes through to parliament our wonderful politicians always find some reason not to do it, no matter how many signatories there are.Set up a petition if enough people agree parliament will debate it.
Do i need to spare a thought for your 11 hour shift in the spring?I hope you all spare a thought for us poor night shift workers tonight, 13 hour shift....lovely.
Doesn't always work like that. If night shift workers work alternative weekends,1 in 3 or 1 in 4,they won't work both clock change nights as 31 weeks since clocks went forward.Do i need to spare a thought for your 11 hour shift in the spring?
Surely you’ll just go home an hour before you normally would to account for the hour?I hope you all spare a thought for us poor night shift workers tonight, 13 hour shift....lovely.
I'm so pleased that we'll be back to GMT (UTC, Z, etc) this coming weekend.
We invented time, we invented Greenwich, we invented longitude and we invented clocks*
We'll be back to proper time again... BST can go swivel.
Everyone gets an extra hour sleep, everyone can be happy. GMT is the bestest!
*some of this may not be entirely factual

The Great Clock on the Elizabeth Tower, better known by the name of its bell, Big Ben, will be changed in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, said the clock change “will herald a new beginning” for the landmark at the northern end of the Houses of Parliament.
