Woolwich serious incident

The vast majority of teachers in 'faith' schools are normal teachers of all kinds of beliefs and none. The ethos of a school doesn't dictate its prescribed curriculum or the beliefs of its staff. You are confusing a faith school with a religious school...they are different things.
Exactly no implied shortage of teachers.

So you only teach elementary mathematics in these schools then?

As pointed out, given that a huge number of schools are faith-funded how do you pay to replace them?

I knew you say that,lol
E=mc2 whatever religion then , the point is you teach facts.

You not picking and you know it.

However there is an explicit shortage of both funding and infrastructure, which in turn would imply a shortage of positions for those teachers to fill and the loss of those skills unless the replacement funding and infrastructure was in place before such a measure was undertaken.

I also do not see how you could effectively accomplish the removal of religion from the experience of children until they reach an arbitrary age, or that it would be a responsible or progressive thing to do even if we could.

If RE in schools really leads to indoctrination then our society would be more pious than it is today, as well as increasingly so rather than in decline.

Far more effective would be addressing unregulated schools, isolated religious program's, prejudices and intolerance in our society, be it religious or otherwise and so on. You do not increase an individuals freedom of choice by removing one of the options, you do it by promoting all options.

You teach children to learn for themselves and make informed choices. Children, or adults for that matter are not machines to be programmed with whatever facts are prevalent at the time.

Schools teach a broad range of subject matter, from specified reference to implied subjective expression. Life is not simply about verifiable objective truths, it is in large part entirely subjective.

Sucking up to the very people who support this type of atrocity. lefty spineless ******.

An 85-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly shouting outside the Jamia mosque in Gillingham.

Shout at a mosque (free speech) gets you nicked...burning poppies and celebrating a soldiers death you get away with.

how is quoting the truth, sucking up?

iirc no one got arrested for publishing those photos of our Prophet!

shouting? I bet it was more of an islamophobic rant!

Bear in mind he was carrying more than one knife/weapon. (At least in earlier photographs).

Looks like the chap in the back does pretty well to hit the chap from a stopping car with door half open. Didn't get much time to think. The one that runs up to them looks to have to knives in his hands at the start, and drop one as he approaches. The other chap to the left seems to point a gun at them too.

That video must be pretty helpful from the police officers part, not much doubt that they had to shoot.

Indeed i do. Problem?

It's only your problem, no one elses. I notice you didn't reply to my post about the bedroom tax either.

It's probably a public order offence, if you were stood shouting hateful abuse at a bookies or chip shop and refused to leave, you can expect the police to arrive too. You seriously spend too much time on facebook/the internet looking at right wing rubbish. I am sick to death of people like you.

The Police aren't dealing with any group in a special way, if you have broken a law you will be dealt with.

Nothing illegal about being islamaphobic afaik?

Actually it is (depending what is said in public) you can be arrested for ''incitement to racial hatred'' which is against the law and rightly so!
And if you're going to be pedantic and say Islam isn't a race then the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 has it covered ;)
