And yet I watch EDL protests and the Police are quite happy to pull members out of the crowd and arrest them.

Why are protests by Islamic extremists filmed and then the arrests made at a later date?

Whats with some people? you know, I don't think this severe hate will ever change. Bet in another 40 years or so very little will have changed. New generations of hate.

To some degree all these platforms for people to voice their opinions and the media to bring it to our sets just makes it worse. I don't know what the answer is to stop hate but it's never getting better. At least before Facebook and Twitter it was never on TV.

Because on the most part the radicalized Islamic extremists are not behaving in a physical violent manner, of course many of the messages and aired opinions and actions are totally unacceptable. However they they don't pose an immediate threat to the public so the sensible and intelligent thing to do is gather evidence with video cameras and make arrests at a later date (Which THEY DO!)

EDL and it's knuckle-dragging followers however DO pose an immediate threat to public safety as they can't help throwing punches, bottles, kicks ..etc (which isn't surprising considering it's main core is made up of football thugs, Combat 18 inbreds and just general violent right-wing idiots )
So in the interest of public safety the police arrest the ones that can't control themselves physically.

Pretty simple and obvious really if you have seen any of their protests!

That completely ignores the fact the some offences can be committed where there is no threat to public safety.

I think he is referring to the fact, the differences in the manner of the demonstrations, as shown on TV and other publications.

"Muslim" radicals protests for the most part, holding up placards and chanting offensive things to Soldiers etc

In comparison to

EDL nutjobs, usually drunk and attacking the police, throwing rocks, and an all-round danger to the community in general. Guess a lot of these EDL nutjobs are a part of your community and you want to defend them :)

Or maybe these are observable things in viewing the actions of both sides...
