Woolwich serious incident

Is it wrong to want the death penalty in this case? I mean there's absolutely no doubt he did it. Considering the serious nature of the crime, that it's all caught on video why are we wasting money jailing him for life?

Doesn't deserve a quick death and to be remembered as a martyr.
He should live a long and miserable life for what he did, long enough for relationships between muslims and non muslims to go back to the way they were before 911.

Well yes, because hacking people to death and leaving their headless body in the town square is what they do.

As long as we don't do the same we can continue to regard their kin as barbaric animals.

Stopping Cameron/Clegg/Miliband from sucking up to them before we turn into Sweden is the hard bit.

Oh ffs here we go again!!

for someone who hasnt met one of "them" in 30 years, you are in no position to judge "them"!

different thread but same ****.

i am one of "them" but I would not hold him as martyr, just a sick person. I got upset when they allowed him to appeal.. I mean really? "Sorry I meant to kill two but only managed one"...

They should stop wasting our money

Absolutely, the death penalty should not be given - hopefully 40+ years of incarceration will be as painful as I imagine it would be.

I always wonder about people who say "the death penalty should be given in cases like this where there is no doubt he did it" - if there is any doubt someone didn't do a crime then they shouldn't be a life imprisonment!

Frustrating that the police managed to actually shoot and not kill these two... when it would have been better all around if they had. In fact it seems its what the pair of them would have wanted too.

I think it's rather a good sign that we have armed police officers who don't shoot to kill. It's also probably far better for the officers involved that they didn't kill them, it'd be a hell of a burden to carry regardless of who the men were and what they'd done.

Is that the case? Is it not true to say that it needs to be beyond reasonable doubt?

I think given they know what he's capable of he ought to be treated pretty robustly when he steps out of line... if he loses a few teeth due to being non compliant/resisting then so be it - better the prison officers are able to take a firm approach than potentially put their lives in greater danger when dealing with the ****

frankly it would have saved a lot of time and money if the armed response officers at the scene had used a few more rounds on the pair back in Woolwich

Devils advocate, start taking away all of someone's rights and what makes us different to them?

It's his right to try and sue them, if he wins that's when I'll start taking any notice. Until that point who cares.

Good lord. I can't believe how much of a fuss people are making of this. If something untoward occurred, then the fact that it may be investigated further can only be a good thing. If nothing untoward occurred, then yes, he's wasting his, and other people's time. I'd prefer to live in a world where one has the right to do what he's doing, than one where one does not.

Hopefully this goes nowhere.

The Officers involved getting suspended by the MoJ even after the CPS had dropped the case against them was enough, but this, this is an insult.

Scumbag should not be allowed any publicity ever.
