It shouldn't be surprising either.

I linked a study some time ago to studies on social attitudes by voting preference.

Basically you have BNP at one end - followed by UKIP shortly after - then way on the other side you get The Conservatives/Labour/Lib-Dems/Greens (for racist/homophobic attitudes).

While not everybody who votes for UKIP is a racist, people who are racists are significantly more likely to vote for UKIP than the base population.

UKIP policy is closer to the US Tea Party (Sarah Palin style...).

Well, then, I'm a racist. We are slowly losing our identity. We have become a country that is constantly treading over eggshells with these Muslims. It's ridiculous. It's time we say no and to tell Muslims to take their religion and "**** off". Why can they come over to this country and build mosques? Why? We should say no and they should respect that. Instead, we bend over backwards and do everything to make them feel at home. Absolutely joke.

all police should be armed, then first officers on the scene would have been able to deal with the situation. Good job these two nutters didn't go on a rampage or have AK's.

My father in law is a retired police officer over here and on the subject of British police being unarmed, he said "how can i protect the public, if i can't protect myself".

Times are changing and unarmed officers turning up to deal with armed terrorists, who are not afraid to die and even welcome it, needs to be addressed.

How is killing a of duty soldier any worse than killing an off duty fighter in Afghanistan while he is having a BBQ any different or morally dissimilar? Just like how many high profile target are assassinated there on a routine basis outside of “combat situations”
