Woolwich serious incident

However, I will say, Nick Raynsford was going on about the relationship between the squaddies and the locals as great. That's not really true tbh. Squaddies have caused a lot of problems before.

They have had a lot of run ins with locals, and most have been barred from a few pubs in the area. So, i'm not stating the extremism as fact, it could be something else. But it is my main suspicion.

Pity the Met don't have net radio streams like the Boston PD :p

It's amazing how instantly we can follow events online as they happen, even tragic events like this become even more compelling.

The Somalian community in Woolwich is very large, under privileged and very prone to violence. They were the first I thought of tbh.

Regulus,

Woolwich is a crap hole. The developers like Berkeley homes and the like will try and sell it to you because of their half a mil flats. But it's an absolute hole.

Its certainly reassuring that we have men and women who have the guts to enter these types of situations and have the authority to 'remove' the danger before anyone else is injured !

Have to say though, this is the exact reason I choose not to live in big citys...

Dont need to. If you lived round here, you would know they are already tarred by the dozens of muggings and beatings they dish out each week.

I just wish it could be talked about without google-eyed apologists screaming you down in chants of 'Racist Racist Racist'. They're doing themselves and the marginalised community NO favours. And resentment is building.
