Its a shame really the previous manager left because he'd won everything, the team was still ready to go on and Dioretard decided to ditch people who were intergral to the way they played, because their birthdays were in the wrong months....... I can't believe he wasn't fired after the Group stage debacle in South Korea/Japan, how he's been their longest serving manager I don't know.
Frankly, the whole team played like they knew they were crap and couldn't win so no one played well. But Govou, Malouda and Ribery didn't even look like footballers. Anelka got a lot of critism, but then no one gave him, or Ginac the ball in positions they could score from. Diaby is hilariously bad and playing Toulalon + a inept moron in central midfield is always going to be a horrible idea, central midfield in an offensive and defensive sense is THE most important area on the pitch, having no one who can pass fast and where needed, no one creative or inteligent in there at all is stupid.
LIkewise, another 4-3-3 that utterly failed to perform, didn't work for Spain, Italy, France, half a dozen others.
Anyway I said its a shame as the "old" France actually played great football and were a joy to watch win things, its a shame a great team was ruined by a little superstitious moron and the most amazing thing is how he kept his job throughout?
Can you imagine if Wenger decided to drop Fabregas and RVP because they were born in the wrong month, or Fergie decided to drop Rooney and Vidic? We'd send the men with butterfly nets to catch them and have them commited.
