Why are people having a go at Anelka, other than when very young letting greed/family push him to a big money move he doesn't seem troublesome to me.

Didn't the entire French squad have it out with the manager not long ago, the shambles on the pitch is entirely the managers fault, and afaik the not passing to Gourcouf is utter rubbish. Anelka's only been bad so far in that he's barely been given a pass in two games, much like Rooney, both players are playing up top for teams that can't actually get the ball that far forward. Ribery, Malouda and the midfielders were on the ball plenty and did nothing, I find it harder to blame Anelka/Rooney when they basically didn't actually get the ball from their midfielders.

AS for him exploding, as said, I think they all did several times in the past several months, I don't see why the French FA are picking on Anelka, frankly they should have removed the managed 6 years ago, or 4 years ago, really at any stage he's proven himself to be the worst manager around. Backing the manager they've already fired, whose got them playing the worst they've played for over a decade, seems nuts.

The thing is the majority of the squad shares Anelka's view and all hate the manager, the French FA share the view and have fired the manager, why not try and unite the team and players by ditching the god awful manager? About the stupidest move they could make to be honest.

Not surprised in the slightest to hear Gallas is involved. He's a trouble maker and the French camp would be better off without him and his ego.

I think where Domenech is involved, they all feel the same thing. Domenech is useless.

EDIT: I still think Gallas is an arse.

Don't doubt that at all but France would've wanted to keep that argument in the locker room and it got leaked to the press.

Here's what Evra said in a press conference: "The problem of France is not Anelka, but the traitor among us. We must eliminate the traitor from the group, because he wants to hurt the team."

We know Ribery and Gallas have been involved in an argument with the rest of the team so it has to be one or both of them that's being accused of being a traitor and Gallas has form. If it's not them it must be Gourcuff who doesn't seem to be a popular member of the squad.

The team has refused to train and the director of the France team has quit and is going home too :p

(From ITV just now)

Beaten by Azza, its still funny though :D

Our amphibian eating friends are in a bit of a mess. Arguments between players and manager, bullying, fights breaking out between players, players grassing on teammates, players leaving, coaching staff leaving and I doubt this is the end of their troubles :o
