I told you, the FFA had the chance to ditch the manager whose completely ruined the team, and actually get behind the players and try and salvage the cup. WIth a new leader, a clear backing and a complete change they MIGHT have been able to pull something out the bag, think about the massive confidence boost and belief they'd have by being rid of the god awful manager.
It could have worked absolute wonders to back Anelka, as someone I saw posted, Anelka was sent home for voicing the opinion of a nation to the awful manager, which has it spot on. THe entire country agree's, the FFA damn well agree which is why they've fired him effective after the world cup.
Stepping in to pee off the players and back a useless manager who you've fired, was the single worst thing they could have done. Played right they could have given the team the biggest confidence boost possible and they went with option A.
the FFA deserve what they get now, the players are completely in the right and are standing up for Anelka for the simple reason that they all 100% share his opinion on the manager.
Clearly the problem in the camp is not Anelka, but the manager. As it turns out it seems more like the manager had the balls to have a go at Anelka for moving out of position, because he didn't receive the ball at all as a lone strker. He dropped deep to get it and got laid into by his manager.
Can you imagine if Rooney dropped deep because the team was awful and no one was passing to him, then Capello shouted him down infront of the squad, what would happen? I think he'd basically punch Capello out(and would have a point). Anelka, according to the manager himself, basically muttered a few things in the corner under his breathe, it wasn't even a "verbal attack".
I feel sorry for the people caught inbetween, though I'm not really sure, are the fitness coach and the other guy part of the managers team? As in the same way Redknapp or most managers will take their number 2 and a few coaches when they move to a new club. Maybe those guys are angry because they feel their management team as a whole is under attack by the players, or maybe its just because this is their only world cup and they want to do their best.
The fact is the entire team had a go at the manager months ago, more than once I believe, how on earth the manager wasn't fire before the cup is a mystery, literally anyone could have done better at this stage, anyone, because they all completely hate the current manager whose also completely crap at his job. Someone whose crap, that they don't hate would be an improvement, someone they don't hate whose good at his job would be a monumentally positive change for the team.
