But he doesn't really do that well. Problem is, the only other player that can is injured.

Hope he surprises us and scores in the World Cup (lol).

Exactly. Lets be honest on form Gerrard should be nowhere near the midfield of the england team. He's only in it because Terry disgraced himself and rio got injured, leaving no leader on the field. So they gave it to gerrard giving him his instant place back.

His game 9 times out of 10 ends up with lampard the form midfielder for the last 5+ years getting his game ruined.

The only place I could find for him is behind rooney, if we play a 4-4-2 and one of the midfielders is gerrard someone else has been robbed and lampard will have his game ruined AGAIN.

Loving all the Gerrard comments. As bad as he's been this season everyone's making it seem like Lampard's a star performer for England when in actual fact he's usually as bad if not worse than Gerrard :D

My mates a Liverpool fan & he made the point to me that Gerrard only has this World cup to recover a dreadful season.
I thought it a fair point & still wish the lad well even if he does play instead of Frank. :)

It just seems weird to me when we have a few players from our team in the squad not to play Frank with them when they are all on Premiership winning (:D) form.

I've been thinking about the Heskey situation. There HAS to be something that we don't see from a managers point of view, otherwise he simply just wouldn't be picked all the time.
 
Heskey is a good hold up player and when England have resorted to long balls forward he's always done a decent job of holding the ball up or knocking it down to the likes of Owen or Rooney. Pretty sure Owen said he loved playing with Heskey up front for this very reason.
 
I think Rooney said he likes teaming up with Heskey as well. I still think he's an oversized, useless waste of a place in the squad though, but if Rooney did say that then I guess Capello has to do whatever he can to keep his star man happy.

Yes, I do. And I also realise that it isn't international football that these players play week after week. International form counts for very little. How can you pick on international form?
 
Heskey's only in the squad to assist Rooney just as he's always been picked to assists his strike partners. Works well when his strike partner plays but should Rooney get injured/suspended he'll become completely redundant in the squad.

You can sometimes get illegal fox sport streams in HD. But even those are sent at 1.5Mbps at most.

Much better to actually watch the 1.5Mbps BBC SD stream though.

On a side note, I think some people are taking this game way too far. I say groups of blokes going to the pub at 12:30, and a lass with a st Georges flag as a skirt completely wrecked at 1pm!! :eek:
 
At the last World Cup me and my friends would get to the local when it opened and would leave when it closed :p

Would just order food in.
