Oh sorry I didn't realise you got 3 points for less yellow cards or even take 3 points off you if you get too many.

Germany lost cos Serbia scored more goals than them not because of yellow cards. Watch closer next time.

Yeh well having an extra man does help doesnt it??;) and unlike other teams who would go on the defensive to lessen the blow going down one man...the Germans still attacked like rabid dogs...just unlucky that Podolski has been utter crap this WC...missed a penalty and a host of chances.

Not interested . They lost. End of ;)

I'm pretty sure a loss and 2 wins is better than 2 draws and a win in the group stages :).

More points. Better team. End of .

LOL wut ? Just thought I better let you know that England didn't play the same teams as Germany so your comparative logic maybe just a little flawed in its conclusions.

Not the first time you heard this today, but you really do talk total **** :D:D:D.

I was being pedantic if it wasn't obvious.

Your comparison of Germany not playing better that England was based on results - I was merely pointing out that Germany have had better results than England thus far and in the process have played far better which isn't difficult to be fair.

If England play as bad as they did against Algeria.. then well.... did you watch the Australia game?

Its happened in the past - its certainly possible it can happen again (and that was with a much better German team also)

We beat Germany 2-1 in a more recent game also I seem to recall with a 2nd string side

Working for a German bank, my colleagues here aren't happy about meeting England and are worried about the possibilty of loosing.. Lets hope so... They think England are a better side and that their number's up. Perosnally, i think it's very tight but I think Englands defence can hold on but it's just that final third isn't it?

Am I the only one that feels uncomfortable with the full backs running the wings? We have perfectly good wingers on the bench. Just seems that we get caught out.

If win or loose, I think I'll take Monday off :)

Its a shame really, as I can see us putting the Germans out, then going out in the Quarter finals, whereas I think Germany would go further in the competition.

However, I have this wierd feeling that Mexico will pull something off against Argentina.

They are very good in posession, and if they stop Messi playing, they could well stop Argentina playing too!

Then just Spain and Brazil to beat.... er.... lol.

Going out in the last 16 just isn't right. Everyone knows England go out in the quarter-finals (or maybe the semis if we're feeling adventurous) on penalties. It's the done thing.

Therefore, we'll beat Germany.

England were fortunate not to lose against the USA and Algeria, two teams who completely dominated them.

They beat the smallest country represented at the World Cup, by a single goal.

They were taken apart in friendlies prior to the World Cup, Mexico, Egypt, Brasil, Spain....

Different teams. Its not about how they played then its how they're playing now. England are still a great team, I just don't think they will win on Sunday.

Early days, but I'd say Germany's team now is better than that 2001/02 lot. They certainly play better football. People forget that the 5-1 was heavily aided by the awfulness of how the opposition played that day. England weren't actually particularly outstanding.

The scotts having a dig lol, you are even wrose than the French so you can't talk :D

:/

I live in Scotland but was born in Germany by Scottish parents. I can support Germany or Scotland.. but mainly support Germany because I can't support a team that isn't in the world cup and hasn't been in the world cup for 12 years and will probably never be in the world cup again and this is a long sentence.

could just say scotland fail at football :)

they dont fail, just that for the size of the population they dont really have much of a chance.

theres only like 7 million scots and out of them fletcher would easily walk into the english team. so would all of our goalkeepers. others would be on the bench - like scott brown, miller and boyd.
