You for real. USA never looked like scoring and thats posted after the game.

I thought that England were fortunate to get away with a draw.

They were poor all round, USA just didn't have the cutting edge to really damage England.

Green should have saved there goal though and apart from that I am struggling to think of another chance the yanks had.

Only one African team got to the last 16, poor show Africa. Never gonna win the world cup.

Aye, shame.

I expected Africa to get a few more teams in through, ah well.

European sides aren't doing as well either, Italy and France already out.

Yep seems to be Latin Americas turn of having a good run at the WC

Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay and Mexico

European teams left: Germany, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, England and Slovakia.

Actually its more or less even with European teams and the Latin American teams...6 each...then you go 2 Asian teams ie S Korea and Japan...with Ghana and USA filling the last 2 spots.

Just said that :D

6 South Americans
6 European
2 Asian
1 African
1 North American

I think the South American teams are playing much better football and are all in a bit better form.

Saying that, I was quite impressed with how Chile took Spain apart in the first half, and still went in two goals down.

Really pleased for Japan! Honda is a classy player.

Fairly sure that Mexico is in North America ;)

No team has stood out so far. Of the big names Argentina seem to have the most hungry but I am not sure that Maradona will be able to set the team up to counter the better sides.

To me its not, North is USA/Canada ;)

:/

I live in Scotland but was born in Germany by Scottish parents. I can support Germany or Scotland.. but mainly support Germany because I can't support a team that isn't in the world cup and hasn't been in the world cup for 12 years and will probably never be in the world cup again and this is a long sentence.

Don't bring size into it. likes of kiwi & Solvinia seems to of done ok. ;)

Anyone wanting USA to win today? I kinda do just for the lulz.

GO TEAM USA.

Yep and I can see them beating Ghana. Who was it that said the other day something like, and I paraphrase; America are going to do what they do best, **** up a load of small countries and then leave before the job is done?

:D

U.S.A, U.S.A, U.S.A!

The problem with Germany is they only need a draw to progress due to their mentality of thriving on pressure meaning they will always win on penalties. We have to win.

Considering the form of some of our key players this seems unlikely atm.

South Korea: 18-Jung Sung-ryong; 22-Cha Du-ri, 12-Lee Young-pyo, 4-Cho Yong-hyung, 14-Lee Jung-soo, 8-Kim Jung-woo, 16-Ki Sung-yong, 13-Kim Jae-sung, 7-Park Ji-sung, 17-Lee Chung-yong, 10-Park Chu-young.
