Well at least we can laugh next week when Argentina hammer the germans, the disallowed goal would have made a huge difference. We wouldnt of had to chase the game at the start of 2nd half and TBH i think we made them look good, our defence has been poor. Precisely , he is a quality player but I thought we were supposed to be picking people based on form. He has seemed out of sorts this tournament so why not try something else.

Hate to be an armchair manager but I said this after the first two games. The attacking strategy was designed around him, he hasn't really had any decent chances on goal - I would have played Defoe and Crouch after the second game. Or at least given Rooney a chance at his own game by playing a 4-5-1.

Hear hear! Then again, we have a knack for making team decisions that beggars belief. I'm becoming dead against our failures.

Crouch has been a super sub in the past - he hasn't even been given a look in at that role.
