This doesn't apply anymore then? there is supporting a team and blatant trolling, and certain people in here are doing nothing but trolling.
Gerrard has said he would like, or is happy, for unfabulous capello to remain.
Capello signed a 2 year extension with no opt out clause. So he gets another £12 million. Lol, what a farce. All that money for what will amount to absolutely nothing.
Even if what capello is doing with the england team are all the right things to get england to win, it's all academic because those players can barely pass the ball accurately and they're too slow.
I have this odd feeling that Rooney will regain his form against Newcastle on the first game of the season.
Heinze getting smashed by the camera was one of the highlights of the tournament so far.

Is there any chance FIFA could ban replays on TV... in your home? I mean, can they instruct the broadcasters not to show replays or they won't be allowed in?
Probably a stupid question I know
Even before Lampard's goal had been replayed I was 100% certain that it had gone in.
But it's not only England who have had poor referreeing decisions (Ireland Henry anyone) against them.
I hope it changes and that at least they stick someone behind the goal or in major finals à la world cup that the goal cameras can be used.
I would hate to see them being over used (ie to decide corners and throwins but for goals it should/must be brought in)

bring in a cricket style system - you get a maximum number of appeals - say 2 per game.
Have the replay technology used for all goals (would only have been needed for two out of the 5 goals in the england game) and for 2 appeals at the choice of the manager.
You couldn't just have two appeals a game.
Just for goals? What about fouls that lead to goals that weren't fouls? or that dubious throw in that lead to the foul.

In tennis you get 3 appeals per set, 1 more for a tie-break and 3 more for every 12 games played in the final set.
The line technology would work well for things like goals and throw ins, and possibly even disputes over whether a foul occurred in or out of the penalty box, but it would have to be full replays for fouls, handballs, etc.
I wonder how the line technology would cope with things being thrown onto the pitch? You don't have that problem at the tennis, but football fans are a rowdy lot...
put a sensor(s) inside or on the ball and place some sensors around the goalposts
I wondered about that. I suppose that would work, provided it could stand up to the physical shocks and was of negligible weight so it didn't imbalance the ball.
