Are England the dullest and least entertaining team in the whole tournament?

Yes, without a shadow of a doubt.

we're cack, and we know we are, we're cack, and we know we are, we're cack, and we know we are, WE'RE CACK AND WE KNOW WE ARE!

I don't the performance will get much better but England will win and the manager and captain will say the result matters not the performance ;)

Right as always ;) I think England are just getting worse and worse, if people and look at the performance and can just dismiss it and say all that matters is they are in the QTR finals then they need to come to grip with reality. In the past I've always felt England don't have the players but this current squad is up there with the best when it comes to quality but the system they play just doesn't get the past out of them. The manager has to take blame for that and instead of trying to build a balanced team is just trying to stick all his star players in and hope it clicks.

Just seen this on bbc http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/england/5103576.stm Do these players live in some kind of dream world or something, apart from the freekick he was rubbish and imo Lampard went to ground very easily for the freekick anyway. He hasn't proved any critics wrong with that kind of performance imo.

france are topping it for me atm, closely followed by england..

Thought France played quite well against Togo but Ribery just missed a few guilt edge chances

^ haha yeah, i don't think people have been slating Becks for not scoring, even though Motson had the fact that he hasn't scored for England from a free kick for 3 years engraved on the inside of his brain. It's more like his trademark pin point long balls, through balls, crosses aren't happening anymore. He's just a relatively average player now compared to how we've seen him play before. And the oaf still hasn't learned how to tackle yet.

Gah, Beckham again does one thing in a match which means he will be kept in the team. Been living off doing that for years now. Rest of his game was terrible.

Robinson - No communication with Ferdinand or Terry but made a few good saves. (6/10)
Cole - Awesome. Still not 100% fit but covered for the mistakes made by others and did his job very well. (9/10) +1 for the lovely Ms Tweedy
Terry - Poor game. Can't remember him playing as badly for a while but a poor Terry is still better than 99% of the defenders in the WC. (6/10)
Ferdinand - Did his job. (7/10)
Hargreaves - Didn't look comfortable and didn't get any help from Beckham. Got caught out on a number of times with two players around him. (6/10)
Carrick - Did his job. (7/10)
Cole - Poor game but he's been our best player so far so I've no doubt that was a one off. (6/10)
Lampard - Poor. Please do something to warrant Sven choosing you. (4/10)
Gerrard - Poor. Keeps getting bypassed in favour of Lampard. Pointless having him in the team because he doesn't get used properly. (5/10)
Beckham - Yipeeeeee. He scored. I love Beckham. Beckham is the most creative player in the world. He's the player of the tournament so far. Produced countless pinpoint crosses and freekicks. Beckham for King/Priminster/President of the World. Proved he's the best captain in the world. 11/10 (Review by Sven G. Eriksson)
Rooney - Played ok. He looked pretty poor in the first half but Beckham giving him aimless long balls to chase didn't help. He improved in the second half and looked more like the Rooney of old. It's obvious he can't play as a target man/lone striker. (6.5/10)

Overall I thought it was another poor effort but we won. I can't imagine Portugal or Holland worrying after seeing that performance and I'm really worried about Robben/Simao facing our right back whoever it may be. I would be inclined to play Gerrard on the right to support the full back and drop Beckham. Won't happen but Sven needs to do something or we will lose. I thought playing Carrick would help Gerrard and Lampard play better together but it's only help to prove they can't play together, even with a holding player.

Definately.

Showed his defence and recovering skills, not just his attacking skills today, which was lucky considering the mistakes of terry etc.

Did anyone see that clip of Posh after Becks had scored, the was a bloke behind jumping up and down and and his shorts were coming down

Was a pretty boring game but we through at least and i fancy our chances against portugal if they play dirty then they should be warned lol i could see rooney battering some 1 :D Whats the chances they go for his foot tho

robinson is an average keeper, never really progressed since his leeds days
Please shush... the guy is a legend at White Hart Lane already AND established himself as undisputed Englands No.1 in the last 2 years.. WTF are you talking about man?

We beat a pretty good team out there today in 100f heat. All you who keep going on and expecting us to beat teams like that 4-0 in a World Cup K.O. need to learn about the game and stop being so arrogant.

COME ON ENGLAND!
Well done lads! :D

a legend? :p what exactly have tottenham won? the peace cup? LMAO
Doesn't sound like much to be a legend at tottenham these days.
Established himself as England's No.1 - yes because James is crap and is 35 years old, you don't have to be a great goalkeeper to displace this guy.
