World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Fair enough :)

I would say that it's not a great experience trying it on a 27" screen though as you are losing a lot of height there, in fact, it's even smaller height than a 29" 21.9 UW....

Oh I never said that - tried the full view of course, but did try out UW - 144P / 1080P on it just to get the feeling!

Also did UW res on my CX 55 with 1620P, and that was of course pretty awesome!
So I need a 38 inch UW, if I would be interessting. The low fov on a 34 do nothing for me IMHO!

At least with the 42c2 and this alienware, we as consumers have real choice! And I can't imagine the 42c2 will be constantly sold out to the levels that gpus are (or this monitor might be)!

Totaly agree. The more choice the better, and about time LG, get competition - will drive the prices down, as the C2 42, is way way overpriced IMO!

You're welcome to buy my 38" UW on March 23rd if you want it :p

What I mean is the physical height of the display, if you force applied a 21.9 resolution on a physical 27" 16.9 display, you are losing a lot of "physical" display height.

Defo the bigger 16.9 displays are better for when wanting to try out 21.9 res, however, still not quite the same feel imo.

FOV will be the same regardless of what 21.9 res. you use e.g. as in you'll see the same FOV on a 2560x1080 21.9 res. as you would with 21.9 3440x1440 res.

However, 38" would be a rather nice upgrade although imagine it would be a good chunk more expensive.

Of course I get that buddy - hence my reply
But as Said - cant live with that small vert fov on a 27 - same as 34 UW. Need atleast 1600 P - 38 UW, to make me enjoy it!

So sadly this 34 is out of the question to me!
I just cant get immersed!

Gotcha now!

Imagine it is only a matter of time until the 38" version comes out.

Yeah lets hope so.As how much I want a C2 - 42, I would love to have that extras hz/fps - 175hz - just for the sake of it, and would love to have a g-sync module. Sadly no Tv will have these. Even when e.x Asus will make a monitor version with the 42, it still will only do 120hz I guess, and no g-sync module either!

I'm wondering if that discount will work as I have another work voucher which specifically states "10% off alienware" and technically the monitor isn't a "dell" monitor......
