World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

i put in an order mid march with a estimated delivery date of 1st August. When was this monitor released as seems most of you guys are getting your monitors now :S

22nd March I think, was some glitch to get order in a few hours early (at increased price) before the 8am launch but I think most order at 8am ish.
 
Anyone else playing Cyberpunk on this then definitely install ReShade and enable the curved levels plugin "Curved Levels" by Prob80. It greatly reduces the crushed black level grading this game has and gives you a much more striking HDR result. Areas of scene that are supposed to be black, are actually close to black now without that obvious washed out cast.

I do hope it runs silent, I swapped over to a PG35VQ recently the fan noise is very annoying, there is a constant buzzing sound.
Fine for gaming as I will have a headset on, but working on it is frustrating.

I used to have a PG27UQ, screen looked great but omg, that fan, it was unbearable. I RMA'd the monitor like 6 times, each time they gave me a replacement there were dead pixels. In the end I was like this is bs I want a refund, they refunded the full price despite me owning it 2.5 years. I bought the LG-GN950, kept the 1.5k and called it a day lol.

Awesome tip chap. Just started playing Cyberpunk - monitor coming Wednesday can’t wait to play this on it.

Yeah gsync ultimate monitors are noisy, that needs to be fixed
 
AS i have been using this more, i have been noticing how uniform and good colours look. Especially when large blocks of colour are showing.
I wonder if part of this is down to the exceptional viewing angles. Meaning that even the slight parallax created by your eyes doesn't cause any distortion.

Yeah no update here either. Not a fan of UPS either but kinda wish ours got shipped out with them like the last batch, at least they gave decent tracking. xD

That shouldn't make much difference tbh, it's only a few hours crossing.

Same here, finally! :D

Hope it gets here before the long weekend, although we've all just tested positive for covid, so might be too busy being ill to actually do anything with it >_<
