*** World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth ***

I haven't really sat down and given much time yet, but my playing my priest just feels so disconnected to how I remember it. Not sure if I just need more playtime to get back into it and adjust, but I was honestly finding it hard to get going. On the plus side I think I'm finally happy with the UI side of things now I've had a tinker. Think I may just grind this priest through to 120 so I can get started on the dungeon and raiding aspect of the game again with a couple of mates that are more into it than the rest, and then level a new character to actually follow the story / lore again as I have no clue as to what's going on!

If you're struggling maybe try getting a TellMeWhen profile from http://www.chesder.com/wow.html.

He has all classes available. Basically tells you the best spell to use next in your rotation; works with all specs too. Very easy to set-up too.

Cheers, I'll take a look when I get home. I think it's mostly down to being away from the game for so long and having to do a big step-change from what I remember it being! I'll get there, eventually :D

Do not forget that Priests are currently unfinished and will not get the same treatment as every other class (except shaman) have had.

Did not know. You say will not get the same treatment? What treatment? What's so massively changed for the other classes that hasn't occurred?

I'm so far out of the loop... :p

Sorry I did not actually finish my sentence.

Each class (except Shaman and Priest) for the most part got a lot of changes in their talents, abilities and generally just the class + the stat squish changed a few things.

A list of all changes in 8.0 can be found here https://www.wowhead.com/class-changes-in-battle-for-azeroth

Priest and Shaman will not get the same treatment until 8.1 so they may feel rather lackluster or under\over powered at the moment.

I created an undead rogue on Twisting Nether and boosted it to 100, as a few friends are already on the server. Let's start building a list of who is what and where:

HYDEZ#21252 / Twisting Nether / Horde

If a bunch of us are together, might be worth creating a guild or community at the very least?

I might be being stupid, but I am trying to level my leatherworking at the moment and have been collecting materials however, with the new level changes to the areas I am struggling to go to low level areas to farm materials. For instance right now I am trying to get a load of Light Leather but the AH has stacks of 20 for 150 gold and I am not paying that, so I have gone to Mulgore to farm, but the beasts there are just mainly dropping scraps of leather. Is it me of have they made it harder to farm low level materials? No idea how I will farm medium leather as everywhere I go will drop higher level leather than that...does that make sense?

I'm seriously thinking of getting Battle for Azeroth as I enjoyed playing World of Warcraft in the past. I'm just a bit nervous about spending so much money on a game that I'm not sure I'd play all that much.

If you use the level, 110 character boost do you miss out on learning to play your class at the lower levels? I don't want to buy BfA and boost a character to 110 only to find I'm not very good because I don't have the experience of levelling up from low levels.

It's not hard to learn a class these days. Icy-veins.com has guides for everythings.

There are also class trials you can do before using a boost, they aren't available for all specs but from the video below it looks like you can now at least play the Siege of Lordaeron as well as the quick tutorial on the ship so you should be able to have a decent go at them I guess. There are plenty of guides out there for each class/spec on youtube, wowhead etc each class also has their own discord community which can be helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/wiki/discord#disbtn
