World of Warcraft: Classic

A Reddit survey is not an accurate guide of true population numbers or race balance.

If lots of players leave Shazzarah for Firemaw then the queues everybody was fearing on Shaz will now appear on Firemaw instead. As for balance if Alliance is heavily outnumbered, which I doubt, then moving just creates s bigger problem for the Alliance that stay. And for all we know we could go to Firemaw and end up being outnumbered there.

I agree with reserving a name on both servers, but let's not immediately abandon Shaz on the basis of a survey filled in by a small number of the total players.

Queues will be everywhere, that's not what I'm bothered about. The blatant Horde bias on Shazzrah does concern me however and the consensus is that it will be a toxic ****-hole.

Any new player that's joining will probably lean towards Firemaw given the amount of communication we've had from Blizzard. 29k responses on the Reddit survey is small in the grand scheme of things, but it gives you a decent indication of where people will be going and who you'll be playing with.

Nah, I'm not moving.

Firemaw is now also Full, my name is unavailable and I paid good money to reserve on Shazzrah as a result of a decision was was made.

Now all of a sudden it's changing again with no notice or ability to plan, this is a poor showing and I'm not going to move.

Good luck guys.

Presume you're alliance?

Yes.
And for the record, Horde has ALWAYS been the dominant side in terms of numbers. It was 15 years ago and it will remain so now.

It also means you will queue longer for Battlegrounds (Sometimes significantly so) and with layering enabled is going to mean World PvP makes no real difference (Something Vanilla did not have)

The Census data is also pretty flawed in that you are comparing Apples to Oranges. There will be a load of duplicate responses now which give false points of comparison. Not to mention these are responses from those who have done so via Reddit and a very small sample size of the actual realm populace.

Before anyone knew anything it was a good indicator of which of the 2 realms to pick, but now it's just an exercise in curiosity.

We was end game Naxx clear raid guild and alliance were 60:40 on my server. GG. My guild has also relocated Firemaw but we made the decision as soon as it came out.

I'm more worried about the apparent toxicity of Shazzrah tbh.

We're on survey v4 on the reddit census because shazz mods were encouraging everyone in the discord to mess up the results.

Also, being greatly outnumbered by the other faction can make leveling on PvP a pain as well as meeting outside raid instances.

Again, a Reddit survey isn't completely indicative but it has worried me a little (also I believe it's where most p server players are rolling).

I'll go wherever the majority go buy I'd prefer Firemaw.

Think Firemaw is shaping up to be a safer server to slide across too.

I am in two minds. PvP regardless, but not sure on Alliance which I have never played and probably will not have 'ruby glasses' for, or Horde where I will be a Shaman that I know I really will enjoy but reading all the above I could be soloing...
