World of Warcraft: Classic

I'd suggest getting into the character select screen early boys. Friend of mine just sent me this:

Gnome is a race.

Good ones for a beginner are:

Mage (easy to play and very good in pve and pvp)
Pve will be frostbolt span and occasional sheeping and aoe
PvP will be based on reacting using blink and ice block and controlling the opponent

Rogue (as above but a lot harder to master and play well)
Pve is more involved rotation wise and are probably more popular on servers and less required in raids do may be tougher competition
PvP is all about opening up and raping 1v1

Hunter
Pve decent enough and easy to level with having a pet
PvP rapes anything in cloth and eats rogues
Hard to master with traps, pet, scatter shot etc

Warrior
Pve will be mainly tank until better geared and they can do a well. Sunder armour spam but a demanding role in raids (been there :))
Hard to level unless you have a dedicated healer. No real aoe until cleave and no oh **** leg it ability. You'll constantly be eating.
PvP get geared and a holy pallet with you = god

Warlock
Mixture of mage/hunter
Easy to level due to pet but very gear dependant in pve and PvP. You'll be bottom of the food chain for until then, but then become awesome

Druid - meh
Poor healers, poor tanks, poor dps
Gods of Warsong gulch

Pally
Holy is arguably best healer in game
Retribution becomes better with gear but only really u

Lol, was only 17 mins about 30 mins ago
 
Doesn't really seem to be much demand for Classic tbh. Only 20k queues, that's pretty mediocre...I can see why Blizz played it safe and didn't spend much of their wads of cash on extra servers for the launch.

Think Blizzard already confirmed you can enter at 11pm, no need to restart client etc.
 
Someone just mentioned on discord that they believe after 30mins of idleness on character screen you're kicked out anyway, so anyone in before 10.30 is probably going to be kicked before 11?

You're not idling whilst queuing. It will only affect you if you're looking at character select.
 
Straight in to character select on all the realms which aren't pvp that I've looked at so far.
Be interesting to try (later in the week when people have got over the excitement). Shame the old crew from Aggramar have all moved on so we can't relive the (overly rose tinted) past. Can't get that excited by this to be honest - we've already did all the server firsts when it meant something and nostalgia is never what you want it to be. (insert cliché of choice here). The only thing I do want to try is Molten core actually looing at the fights - back then it was dial up modems and face a wall to keep the lag down whilst down ranking heals to keep from going OOM.
