World of Warcraft: Classic

How long are queues now, need to time it for my Mrs to get it ready for 5.15pm :D

Actually I'd get her to queue now. I've been queued since 8:15 so over 100 minutes now. When I started I was around 8,000th in the queue with an estimsted wait of 120 mins. Now I'm 5,000th in the queue with an estimated wait of 88 minutes...

These queues aren't going down, they're not yelling timber...

I wouldnt switch to a low pop realm, once it settles down those realms will be dead. Expect a steep drop off of players after a few weeks.

Not playing for a week when the queues are 3 to 5 hours long isn't really an option now is it, most will end up moving to the lower pop servers when they get sick of queueing for hours

Don't care about queues really I've got a 258min wait, just in time for my lunch break. Not a good time for me to start this game anyway with just buying a house, will be busy for a while.

It's launch day though...

The high population servers were always the same when a new expansion was released. Silvermoon used to have similar queues, they always die down.

And in a couple of months they will have nobody to play with, high pop realms are always better.

Exactly right. I think it's going to be more of an issue with classic as well. I'm wondering how many of these are retail players that fancy trying it out. Once they realise the grind they're in for, they'll give up and go back to retail.

Anyone had problems with screen tearing/flickering in Classic? Got a recent Asus rx570 that runs well in retail but in classic i'm getting random flickering/tearing and the GPU/GPU memory speeds on the card are up and down like a yoyo... wondering if anyone has a cure for this yet?

And in a couple of months they will have nobody to play with, high pop realms are always better.

The pop thresholds are higher than original WoW so even low isn't what low once was, come peak time those low pop servers will still have 2-3k queues while Firemaw and Shazz will have upwards of 30k, I'd rather play now than queue for 5 hours a day just because a server "might" be dead in a few months (probably have character transfers by then anyway)

If you're happy to queue then fair play, I'm not though, I want to play

Well I don't know about you guys but I had an awesome launch night.

Got in the queue at 10:30 with 12k in the queue and slowly watched it drop to 8k before logging off (with another 3 hours left queue).

I'm going to log in at 5:15 when I get home from work in the hope I'll be in by 8 but even that may be wishful thinking.

I'm glad I booked a few days a few weeks after launch otherwise it would have felt wasted.

I logged in at 7:45 this morning out of interest to see how the queue was, it was still 8k and 3 hours. I'm going to assume I'm not going to be able to play for a couple of weeks although I'll still try daily.

I have week commencing the 16th off so would like to think its died down a little then
