World of Warcraft: Classic

Yeah I have the same feeling, like I said started queing just after 8.... still in the same que with 100 mins remaining

I have week commencing the 16th off so would like to think its died down a little then

I honestly don't know how they're going to get rid of layering. Even if there's is a massive drop off there's still going to be way more than 5k players on each realm.

The pop thresholds are higher than original WoW so even low isn't what low once was, come peak time those low pop servers will still have 2-3k queues while Firemaw and Shazz will have upwards of 30k, I'd rather play now than queue for 5 hours a day just because a server "might" be dead in a few months (probably have character transfers by then anyway)

If you're happy to queue then fair play, I'm not though, I want to play

Exactly, I had no queue on Mirage last night :D (logged in at 1030) Trying to actually quest was something else though, it was an experience for sure xD

Im not playing it again, but if I did I would just wait a week and play the high pop servers. In the long run that will make for a much better experience.

Seems my PC breaking was a blessing then. Glad I didn't waste any annual leave on this, but to be honest I would've been rather surprised if the launch went smoothly. This gives me a bit of time to sort out my PC and join the game when I can actually enjoy questing and not spend 5 hours queuing only to have to chase the same boar as 1000 other people.

It'll be based on people logging off. If 1000 people suddenly log off (for lunch or mass disconnect), then it'll skew the time estimates. It's all just finger in the air really as it's trying to predict when a) people will log off and b) how long people will tolerate being in the queue before chucking in and logging into retail/trying another server.

Cant help but think that much of this could have been alleviated if they had just originally had more than the two PvP servers, rather than having everyone pile onto those two.
