***World of Warcraft : Legion***

I have a belf paladin, but I'd quite like a human or tauren one. Which one looks more cool? Humans always look good in my view as everything is in proportion and not small either. Tauren can look good in plate with their big shield and weapons, but cow? :p

Anyone started the grind for rep with the nightfallen? I started all my mythics tonight I took it slow with my group but we will still end up finishing all them by tomorrow night so I'm tempted to grind for the other two to run.

How slow is it? I've never ever been a rep grinder before so anything I have rep with is pure coincidence.

Got my third relic slot today though and I'm up to 841 ilvl though! :D

I feel the same tugging every new expansion but only played the last one for a month, even though a lot of people were saying it was great at the time. I didn't like garrisons at all with the 'gotta log in or fall behind' mentality behind them. Having said that, I don't have vast amounts of time, so probably couldn't play loads even if it was great.
It's pretty much like that again, at the moment. There are a couple of people in my guild without a job and they seem miles ahead.

Yeah the jump to lvl14 was around 6800 power needed, I nearly choked at the change when I saw it.

I'm pacing myself this time and not touching dungeons for gear until I have cleared the map out as I find that if I get the gear I have no incentive to go back to the content and since Blizzard being tedious in tying in achievements to flying skill its the only way I will have the base stuff down come the next parts required for flying.

Do we actually know what will be needed in order to unlock flying? It beginning to annoy me so much having to fp + run to all the dungeon entrances and world quests. I know it forces you to explore etc but the fact I've completed most quests in every zone means I've done more than enough exploring :p

...as I find that if I get the gear I have no incentive to go back to the content ...
Need to revisit zones a lot for World Quests, I end up finishing quests for rep anyway.

And Profession quests... Especially Enchanting...
Go to Azuna, do quest, go to Dalaran, hand in quest, go to Azuna, do another quest, go to dala..... GAAAAAH, just make the hand-in where the next quest is!

Is this expansion looking good? I'm sure I could dig out some reviews but I know what they'll say, so would prefer some personal opinions.

Hard to tell I guess, I remember a lot of hype when WOD launched, reddit posts proclaiming it the best thing since BC etc but it was soon replaced with contempt.

WoD had far more negative feedback than Legion is getting.

Not within the 1st week it didnt, people praised WoD to high heaven at the start. Then it fell off a cliff about a month/2 months in.

For me, the questing is fun but not memorable. I'm only level 106 on my paladin and am half way through Highmountain (Azsuna and Val'Sharah cleared) but Im stuggling to think of a quest that really stood out (bar a few Artifact weapon quests). The dungeons are forgettable and no challenge at all people are spanking through mythics with ease and normal/hc are a joke, you literally have to stand in an aoe for ages to die. Put it one way, Im leveling my 70 shammy again.

I think a lot of the praise its getting is overboard as folks were so bored/angry at WoD by the end.

No queue on my side but my servers tend to be quite dead these days. Wow is a grindfest game once you get beyind the first month, was same with WOD, after about 2 months I was done with it. I really wanted to get dual wielding of Warglaive of Azzinoth on my two DHs, Ally and Horder, didn't even get one, DH on my server got both straight away. Been farming ICC for invincible on about 6 7 characters, no luck. Luck based but how much time are you willing to put in for these lucky drops.

Wanted to get the deathcharger mount from ICC legendary quest but no luck on people, stuck on ICC Blood Infusion (feel free to say if you guy fancy doing it or may need to do it on your DK, Warrior, Paladin).

LEGION
Doing main quests but kind rushing, just skipping through the quest text. At the same time I am queuing for Dungeons, as DPS it can take 2 hours to get in. Since the XP drop in Dungeons there isn't really much chance that you will level too fast or get any better gear than the Legion Invasions.

Blizzard implemented the level scaling thing where the mobs scale according to each player just like in the Invasions which means that you won't have any problems getting gear too high for your level or better than what you get in quests. I am mainly doing Dungeons for Weapon Power. Funny thing about the scale, went in as a tank, 800k HP, rest of DPS was around 350k 400k, healer was level 110, his HP was 1.8 Mill:)))

Yeah thanks Worthy, queue of 3000 on Silvermoon last night! 40 minutes to get in when I tried! It's all your fault for transferring over!

Haha, my bad! Oh I hope it's not huge tonight, I was at cricket last night, looking forward to an evening of WoW tonight.

Yeah I'm alliance matey. I'm 107 at the minute but I've mainly been levelling by running instances, I'm a healing shammy so the queues are non-existent. I still only have two followers though, I need to get some questing done.

I'm not sure where you were checking but there were huge complaints about the garrison from the get go, people knew exactly what it would mean for the remainder of the expansion.

On your other points, I'd agree dungeons are far too easy atm, certain specs are so far ahead of others as well we need some balancing fixes asap.

Warlords received far more positive praise in its opening month, Ive just checked a few of the more famous WoW youtubers (inluding those that shout the loudest when things are negative) and forums and there was zero complaints regarding garrisons at the start of Warlords, even from those that had played the Beta.

I think your letting the garrison hate distort your memory :)

I am enjoying it, got my weapon at 98, just hit 100, just cruising and levelling stuff(levelling more fun that end game grinding for me).

However, I skipped Mists and Warlords expansions so quite a lot is new for me. :)
